This is a super cool funky Maui TREASURE! The atmosphere is totally chill. You will meet locals and tourists in this unique and fun pub/restaurant. Bring a dollar bill or two to personalize and hang on the wall with the tens of thousands of others that have visited over the last ~40+ years. The menu is simple and very good. Sandwiches are fresh, delicious, and big enough for the hearty appetite. There is a full bar here too that can serve local beers and crafty cocktails to enhance your meal. Dina’s also offers some great hotdog recipes and everything on the menu can be ordered for either dine in or take-away. Located on the shore of Sugar Beach it is a convenient stop to grab a lunch to go or dine in for some cheerful service. Open daily from 11am to 10pm which also makes it a great place to grab an evening cocktail with friends after the beach or day of adventures. Plenty of allowed parking available at Sugar Beach Resort. Highly recommended if you are looking for a low key relaxing and fun place.

Such a cool place! We split the reuben and the roast beef sandwiches which were both awesome. This was our last meal before leaving Maui on our honeymoon and it ended up being one of our favorite meals of the whole trip!

Convenient location to sugar beach resort. It is a local small bar with dollar bills all over the wall. It has a nice easy menu and to go food ! There is a reason it is still open all these years! Worth a stop if you are in south Kihei.

This place was so fun! The sandwiches are phenomenal! We had the pleasure of being served by Gretchen and she was probably one of the nicest and sweetest people I’ve ever met! We also got to talk with Jan a little and she was also very nice! Don’t look at the other reviews of this place that are bad, it was amazing!

This is such a nice restaurant , the walls are covered with money mostly one dollar bills. Food was good prices are more affordable here then at the tourist places. I had the Spam witch sandwich. The service was very nice. and the atmosphere was very nice.

Nice place to stop for lunch. The dollar bill collections on the walls and ceilings were certainly giving this place some character. The turkey hoagie was really filling. Thank you!

From the moment I stepped into Dina’s Sandwich Restaurant, I knew I was in for a treat. The cozy ambiance, combined with the welcoming smiles of the staff, set the stage for an exceptional dining experience.

The menu, though concise, offered a delightful variety of sandwiches, each promising a unique blend of flavors. I opted for their signature sandwich, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The bread, freshly baked and perfectly toasted, cradled an explosion of flavors – tender, well-seasoned meat, crisp vegetables, and a secret sauce that was simply divine.

What truly sets Dina’s apart is their attention to detail. Each ingredient tasted fresh and was evidently chosen for quality. The balance of textures and flavors in each bite was a testament to their culinary expertise.

But the food wasn’t the only highlight. The service was impeccable. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that our meal was enjoyable and comfortable. Their recommendations were spot-on, enhancing our dining experience.

Quirky is right. Service was great, the owners were off for the weekend and our server has been with them for 16yrs. This is a dark hole in the wall that you can barely find from the street. We had a greeting committee of two regulars at the bar (it’s 5 o’clock somewhere). Customers deface/decorate $1 bills and they wallpaper every flat surface of this place with them. Chachki artwork then is strewn about the walls. Sandwiches were good as was the pasta salad. New England clam chowder was chocked full of clams.

Fun and friendly location and staff. You’re not gonna get a 5 star meal here, but you will get a tasty brat/burger/sausage and a good beer for the price of a cheap appetizer elsewhere. The dollar bills go back to the mid-80’s, so it’s kinda fun to see how they’ve used them. Apparently, they have a great clam chowder on Friday mornings that sells out quick, so next time we’re there, we’ll definitely have to try it!
