At 5 in the afternoon on a saturday the place was jam packed with happy people eating hot fresh delicious food. This was my first time trying after 3 YEARS of saying “we need to try this place out” and we live about 8 minutes away. The man and women at the front (assuming they manage or own the place) are so sweet and welcoming. They give off such a humble and happy vibe. I was a little late to lick up the food but it was all still hot to the touch. Everything was packaged with care and i was surprised to have 2 huge bags of food waiting for me as i only ordered a dish for 2 from the menu. Portions are huge! And i mean HUGE! they do not skimp out. You get more than what you pay for. A skewer of any of the bbq items are literally 3 times the size of anywhere else. The flavor is delicate but makes your cheeks tingle with excitement. The tenderness is as good as it can possibly get. Again all thats in the photos are just under 40$ and is a platter for 2 people option from the menu. They are attentive to detail. I asked for no cucumber because my husband is allergic…. and finally someone makes sure there is no cucumber. And finally…. a place that does not serve undercooked meat or chicken. Im sorry i havent tried this place sooner. Anyone that hasnt already…. must try them out!

We’ve been having our neighborhood dinners and iftars here for the past few years. They are always very accommodating, and the food is honestly some of the best in town. The owner is generous and the staff is great. We will definitely keep coming back.
The menu is 100% halal, and they also offer vegetarian dishes and fish options in addition to the traditional Middle Eastern meat and chicken dishes, which were also excellent.
They have a dine in section as well as a beautiful venue next door for larger occasions such as graduations, engagements, weddings, and more. Definitely give them a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Of all the local restaurants around here, Al Malek has the best service I’ve ever experienced. From the moment we walked in, the staff and owner were sooo welcoming and genuinely kind. We stayed seated for over an hour after we finished eating, just talking, and we never once felt rushed. We felt comfortable and welcome the entire time.
The food is absolutely amazing, fresh, and full of flavor. On top of that, it is very affordable compared to other local restaurants, especially for the quality and portions you get. It is hard to find a place that has both incredible food and outstanding service, but Al Malek truly delivers.
I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back.

I got the Platter for 3-4 people for about 70 dollars for me, my bro and my dad 3 times this month because my mom is in the Philippines . It’s more like platter for 6 to 8! It lasted us for 2 days because we would eat it for lunch dinner and snacks! Food is soooooo delicious! Hummus is top tier! The employees treat you like family! I highly recommend this place!

I celebrated my birthday this past weekend with a late lunch at Al Malek. From the moment we walked in, all of the staff were amazing! The owner, Dave , even came out to serve and make sure we had everything we needed. My friends and family who joined me said they have never had better Mediterranean food, EVER!! Everything was perfectly cooked, and the presentation was astounding. We have now found our new favorite restaurant.
We will definitely be back in Garden City to dine at Al Malek!!

Was my first time, the portions were great above and beyond! I just didn’t like the chicken on my fattoush it was very dry shawarma meat , and the meat shawarma was massive meat was better the chicken for sure added extra sumac to my salad myself but there dressing was decent

Excellent carry out experience. The combo for 2 is very generous and can easily feed 3-4. Shawarma is freshly sliced off the spit and served in hunks. The Kibbeh nayeh is dense and flavorful. Fantastic hospitality too.
