Cash only establishment. The dim sum items were acceptable, but the egg tarts were above average. There are tables but most people take out. There are also freezers where you can buy uncooked dim sum to take home. Not much in the way of interior design here.

This place has a wide selection and if you’re looking for a good spot in Sacramento this is a good option. It’s a nice little hidden gem in sac and it’s worth checking out if you’re looking for dim sum and don’t want to drive out to Chinatown in San Francisco. It’s pretty reasonably priced and in order to use your credit card you have to spend at least $20. I like that each of the items are labeled in English and list the ingredients inside. There is also a wide selection of frozen items. One drawback is that we ordered the stuffed tofu skins and it was packaged in the standard white paper take out container, which leaked

This place might be the real deal! I was just loosing hope that Sacramento has no good Asian food compared with the bay and then I came to check this place out as I saw it as a recommendation from youtube.

I haven’t had a curry beef puff / Jamaican pie since COVID as my Oakland Chinatown favorite bakery Napoleon Super Bakery stopped making them!!!
I know it’s not difficult to make, but I’m not making it at home. Get the beef over the chicken as it has more intense flavor. Slightly Oily, flaky and crispy. Man that first bite brought me back to a happy place.

Cashier / server speaks English, Cantonese, or Mando they got you covered.

I wish prices were a bit cheaper, but if the rest of the food is as good as the curry puff then this place is truly legit.

They had low selection when I got there so that’s good ~ 230/245pm.
The chicken feet looked plump and tasty
The savory steamed meat items looked huge!
I’m excited to take my folks here when they visit from the bay.

I’m use to food constantly steaming so curious how these warmers affect the food. The shrimp dumpling didn’t look like it would taste as good as coming hot out the steamer due to warming temperature affecting texture and mouth feel

Excellent dim sum variety. Delicious and affordable. They also offer frozen dumplings to heat up at home. The pineapple custard buns are HUGE. They run out of popular items early on the weekends. Friendly staff! Highly recommended!

I’ve come here twice to get food for takeout. My favorites are the taro dumpling and the siomai. Their meat in the baos are flavorful though they are cut differently from others I’ve tasted. Friendly and fast staff. Lots of parking in the complex. There are a few tables where you can sit and enjoy the dumplings. Come early for the best selections.

I ordered
– Shrimp Dumplings
– Shrimp Shumai
– Pork Dumplings
– Chive Dumplings
– Cheese Custard

Each order above ended up costing just under $5/Each after taxes, & Each came with 3 pieces of each (except the egg custard 2 pc)

So right about $25 for all of the above was ok, but I was able to eat all of it in 1 sitting. So, to fill yourself for $25 is fair imo.

I mean, I only rate this a 4 because I’ve been to some super amazing Dumplings places in San Francisco that was (remarkably) even cheaper, had far more variety & were open even earlier in the morning.

That being said, this place was still pretty great for what they had on the menu. Big pieces, prices were still reasonable. Pretty designs to the Dumplings.

Mostly wanted to rate this place so I knew I had a place to visit next time I’m in sac for early Dumplings.

I also like that there is a dine-in seating area.

Their chili pil seems to be home made and is also good!

Their primary customers look to be Asian, which is always a good sign too!

It’s nice to have another excellent alternative spot to go to in the South area for some great dim sum pastries.. I loved ABC bakery in the South area however this spot has a different flare to the same products I usually buy.. Nice little crispy barbecue buns or a different treat.

With the current management, Dim Dim Food’s bao, dim sum, and Hong Kong-style buns are pretty good. I’m happy to see a good Chinese bakery in the Packet Area. The cashiers are fast and accurate. There are a few tables to enjoy your food or drinks, but most customers are ordered to go only!

No fast and go dim sum place can bet this place. Everything is fresh, bigger sizes, and most of all it’s DELICIOUS. I love their steam purple yam buns, shu mai, and lotus sticky rice wrap. I strongly recommend this place to you dim sum lovers or anyone who’s curious.

Recently Learned about this place and I decided to try it. Service was quick and the place is clean. Arrived around 2 PM in the afternoon and they still had a decent amount of choices. They were sold out of about a third of their selections and only had a couple portions left of others. I would suggest to arrive early so you can have more choices.

I got a few different things, including chicken, dumplings, shrimp, and dumplings , fried taro, fried shrimp balls, beef noodle, and Matcha sesame ball. They put a decent amount of filling within the dumplings and everything had great flavor. They had more options than ABC bakery typically has by the afternoon. I loved the matcha sesame ball! It was my first time having this type from a dim sum place.
