Finally, a place that we actually really enjoyed their Mexican food. There is not much, at all, that we miss from CA, but really good Mexican food is on the top of our list.
This hidden gem is exactly what we’ve been looking for.
The chorizo with eggs, rice and beans were super yummy.
The burritos were super good as well. The salsa was different than any other Mexican food we’ve found in KY. It had chunks of tomatoes, which shocked us because every place we’ve tried has the exact same salsa.

First time at this restaurant. We chose it because of the 4 star rating on google. Love the updates to the building and interior since previous owner. Service was less than satisfactory. I understand help is always an issue these days but they seemed a bit disorganized. We waited several minutes before anyone came to our table. Also waited several more for getting drinks or chips/salsa. I got mine before my husband because the keg ran out. But had waited far too long before that point and then waited more for them to change it. When he did get the beer, it was flat. It was also karaoke night so it was extremely loud inside. The wait staff couldn’t hear you and we couldn’t hear them. The waitress got other tables menus and took their order before we even got drinks barely. We decided to cash out and leave in fear the rest of the experience was the same. Maybe this was just an off day.

Place is TRASH! Got an appetizer sampler, hadn’t touched it, look down and a LARGE black hair is laying in my plate. I tell the bartender and he argues with me that it’s my hair… 1. I do not have black hair 2. Why in the hell would I lie, I came in because I was starving. I refused to let them fix it and eat anything else. Service is garbage, employees are rude. They won’t last long!

I was thrown out. My friend and I waited an hour for food because they were catering to a big Party. What I got from the server after the fact… was they had a big party and I should have known it was going to be a wait. What I never heard from time we walked in was how long olit would take to get our food. When I questioned it I was told to leave n never come back from the owner/manager. I have been in this industry for 20 plus years and in fine dining. If there is a wait, it is up to Staff to tell you, I should not have to ask. Thank you for throwing me out, you did me a favor as your restaurant is not where I will ever visit again. The small patrions are the ones who keep you in business . Learn the business!!!!

Food is what you’d expect in a Mexican spot anywhere outside of Texas. It was good, don’t recommend the Taco salad too many beans and 0 rice is a weird thought process. Other than that everything else was solid. Do recommend the Mole. It’s a quaint little hole in the wall where you’ll be lucky to see 2 other tables full while you eat. Hopefully they get busier, but stay just slow enough to be a quiet little oasis.

I didn’t go inside and just drove someone to get take out order. I believe it was cheesy chicken and rice bowl and it was amazing. I was eating and driving (not condoning that) but was so good I couldn’t help myself and it was gone but the time I got on my street and I only live in Bronston like an 8 min drive from Diegos. I would 100% recommend from that 1 meal. Cause if they can make something simple taste that great I will be going back soon and going inside to experience the atmosphere and what the whole menu has instore.

I gave the restaurant plenty of time to open and work out it kinks
So anyone who had been to the previous bar can understand what I mean when I say you can still smell the sour smell in the air. Don’t get me wrong, the place was clean, just previous smells in the air is a little unbearable.
Food well, I ordered a Pollo cancun. Basically, this dish is a piece of grilled chicken topped with five shrimp Pico de Gallo and cheese dip side of rice and a sourcream salad. chicken was hot lightly seasoned but had bland Pico de Gallo the cheese on top was Cold shredded cheese that was flash heated by time I got it the cheese had set up shrimp had little to no season. The Pico lacked salt, and lime just tasted like raw mix vegetables.
The sour cream salad wasn’t bad, but the sour cream was hot and distasteful.
I hope the restaurant picks up on a few of these simple problems and fixes it. This would really help with filling tables with hungry customers. How ever its hard competition having another Mexican restaurant right next door that also serves alcohol.

Very nice remodeling. The best Mexican food I’ve had in Somerset. Also, the wings and potato skins are amazing! Great service! 10/10 recommend!
