UPDATED REVIEW: January 5, 2024 –
Let me start by saying I am beyond pleased to be leaving another review for this establishment. This location is under NEW OWNERS & NEW MANAGEMENT! After completing refusing to frequent this location in the past due to consistently dirty conditions & rude staff, let me be the first to say that this place has done a COMPLETE 180! The entire place was super clean & welcoming. The best part: the staff was absolutely fantastic. We were greeted the moment we walked into the door by multiple staff members. The gentleman working in the back, Jason, even came out to greet us while we were placing our orders. All staff members were courteous & pleasant to chat with while they prepared our orders promptly. We are so excited to have such a great BBQ place up & running in the area again.

The staff was really great at this place.
We came late in the evening and I highly suggest going early so the meat is fresh, more is available and that it hasn’t been sitting as long. My pulled work was great but my husbands chicken was cold. The green beans were great.

Had lunch here, looks like a back in time place. Nice and clean which I appreciate very much. The staff so friendly and help us bring our meals to the table. The meat was a little dried but overall was good. I’ll say the ribs were my favorite. My sister order the chicken and that one was too dried. Also order the brisket plate with green bean and slaw. My dad liked the brisket plate as well with the corn bread.

After giving the store a break for two months and hearing there is a new owner i decided to try Dickeys again. The service was absolutely the worst I have ever encountered. Half the order was missing and most of what I ordered was wrong. Then the girl asked me three times what I ordered and again was given the wrong items. The pics shown are supposed to be two meat plates. How sad. Was also missing the rolls, pickles and onion. Ad said I could get a 20% discount with code but wouldn’t apply it to my order. Pecan pie was advertised as 3.49 but was charged 4.99 at checkout. How they are still in business is beyond me. Not giving me what I ordered and paid for is theft and they have deceptive business practices.

This place used to be amazing! I usually go to the Hayden location but tried the North Spokane location for the first time in awhile since I was in town.
Came in about 11:45am. One table with 2 customers. Not busy. There’s a sign about being short staffed, and I get that. But please put some effort into making your customers food!!!!
I ordered my food to go, and I got a western combo but I only wanted chicken. Just because I got one meat type, doesn’t mean to barely put any meat on the sandwich. Especially when it’s a $15 sandwich. $18.50 combo.
I get to my car and figured I would check it before leaving.
My bun was rock hard and dry, and just crumbled when taking a bite.
So I went in and asked for them to remake it. I asked her if that’s what toasting it makes it, then don’t toast it (even though it shouldn’t). I’ve eaten here enough to know how my food should look/taste.
She remade it, but it’s not warm.
Just overall disappointed! This place used to be awesome and the last few times, it has been everything but that.

The pulled pork was good. Not much of a smoked flavor. All in all it was good, not bad, but not great either. I wasn’t a fan of the butter on the bun. The staff was friendly and the place was nice. I’d probably go back and just ask for no butter on the bun.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for awhile. I wish I had gone somewhere else. I had a 2-meat plate with chicken and brisket. The meat was lukewarm at best, dry, and overcooked. I’ve had real Texas BBQ on many occasions and this is not it, at least not what they served me. The best part of the meal was the fried okra. It was hot and fresh and tasted pretty good. I will say that the portions were large and initially it seemed like a good deal. But honestly, how much dry meat can you eat?

I went to Dickeys for the first and last time. I was the only person in line and now it’s clear why.
The biscuit sandwich was so tough I literally couldn’t bit through parts if it which was extra annoying considering I only had meat on half of the bun.
The fries were so under done that my toddlers wouldn’t eat them.
Everything we ordered was just a complete mess and mostly not even edible it was so tough. All around horrible experience with the food.
Staff was nice though so I’ll give them that.

So far I’ve had their sausage, brisket. And chicken wings.. YESSSSSS it’s so good. They also have little wet naps to clean your hands and your drink comes in a cup you keep. If you get the wings, try the rib rub.. Yum!

The good things – service was great, mustard potato salad was good, the bread product they give you was delicious. Now the bad thing – I ordered a brisket meal. The aforementioned extras were as I said. Only about half the brisket was edible as there was a lot of fat in what I ordered. I hopefully will be able to include a picture. The brisket it’s self was pretty good. My wife is from Oklahoma and recently we spent 6 months in St. Louis working. If you ever eat barbecue from those areas, you will realize that barbecue in the west will never measure up. We have tried a multitude of places here in Washington and Oregon. I don’t hold this establishment at fault for that. It is what it is out here in the west. I felt a 4 rating was a little lenient as only one thing was wrong, albeit the main thing we went there to eat. I felt they deserved better than a 3 though. I would suggest when they prepare a diner’s food to watch how much fat is in the serving. A little fat is fine, but not half the meat.
