Me n my littles tried Dickey’s today for the first time. I got their pulled pork sandwich with a side of slaw that I ended up dumping on top, n let me tell you! It was delish! Will definitely be eating here again!

Last night we ordered a family pack. It was for delivery through Dickey’s website. We soon were called by our delivery person who said that they were out of the meats we ordered. I tried calling the location up until closing time. No answers the phone. Now we are out 70 dollars for a meal we never received and it’s impossible to speak to someone. I hear the food is great but don’t order from there. Even today no one answers the phone. (Update) It’s now October 1. Over a week and have not heard back from the emails we sent. Still no answer. Terrible business. Will literally steal your money and not fulfill your delivery order. We have never been treated this bad.

It was my first time going to Dickeys since moving back to the area, and I was really disappointed. It took over 30 minutes to get our food and when we did finally get it, the meats, mac n cheese were all cold. The sweet bbq sauce was like water, it was so runny. I got a two meat plate and the brisket was nothing but gristle and the turkey breast was so gross. I definitely will not go back. I’ll make the drive to Roswell before I eat there again.

We love this place. The staff was so incredibly nice. All the food was terrific. We had Brisket Chili Beer Cheese fries, Ribs and a western sandwich. Everything was delicious. It’s great that it is right in the Fun Center, so after lunch we were able to bowl a couple of games. Would definitely recommend.

Went to get some food this weekend on Sunday and there were only 2 people working and they were super busy. One was cutting meat and the other was doing cash register, sides, and fryer. I saw them get cussed out twice and I just don’t think it’s fair to only have 2 people on a shift trying to run the entire restaurant by themselves. They both apologized multiple times and tried to give the customers coupons but the customers ended up walking out. I saw the owner just walking around carefree back and forth in the fun center as if he could care less that his employees were struggling. The least he could do is try to help them! Absolutely ridiculous I still feel bad for them!

Our family gathered for a birthday dinner. It seems that the dickies in Portales was under staffed for a Friday night. Half our party got their order after a lengthy wait. We asked about our order and it had not been completed after waiting over 45 minutes. As the rest of our party had finished their meals we canceled and asked for a refund. The staff made apologies, refunded our money and gave us coupons for free sandwiches. Perhaps it will be managed better and be fully staffed in the future. It was a disappointing experience for our first time there.

I’ve eaten Dicky’s BBQ in Texas and this is not nearly as good the portions are incredibly small for the price the meat doesn’t have the flavor level it should have for being a smoked meat I’ve tried their chicken breast they’re chopped brisket pulled pork and ribs and the chicken and the ribs are the only thing I would spend my money and even that’s doubtful because there’s just not enough product for the price they’re charging. I was incredibly excited to get a Dickey’s and down but I was expecting it to be more like what I was accustomed to in Texas and this is not what it should be they may have the Dickies name but they’re not serving Dickies quality of food.

So their service is great and the food is good also… but there’s 2 things deterring them from great experience:
1) every time I order my meat is cold, wether chicken, ribs, brisket, etc – it’s always cold. The sides are warm because they’re in a warmer… which leads me to #2
2) they always incorrectly charge me. They need to reverse is operation so it’s faster and accurate. Order by cashier first, they input the order – printed out and the workers can go from there than rather guess and double ask (making the process longer and more prone to mistakes).

This locations kitchen has got it together. Awesome flavor in my green beans, chopped brisket was awesome, and Mac/ cheese was cooked and cheesy. Ate at other locations, never impressed. That has changed. Gr8 job, please keep it up. Thanks
