The meat was all fatty which is gross!!! The baked potato under cooked. Over half of my potato was wasted due to the potato being undercooked. The location in Port Arthur is amazing, but this location is horrible. Staff was nice but that’s about all.

I just had one of those Joel Hanson money bites from the brisket I ordered from this Dickie’s on uber. The brisket had so much flavor and juice to it, I had to let you guys know. The kielbasa chedder sausage and pork ribs are also good, but THAT BRISKET! O_O

I stopped by the new Dickie’s to try something different — and wow, the food was out of this world! Easily 10 out of a million. The flavor, freshness, and portions were perfect.

While waiting for my order, I noticed something that caught my attention. A young guy at the register (maybe 16–17 years old) asked his coworker about another order. The older man said, “Coworkers always worrying about what you got going on — don’t worry about this, I told you many times.” It came off a bit rude. The young guy was just trying to learn, and it felt unfair.

I just want to say: if you’re an adult working with younger teammates, please teach with patience and kindness. Respect builds confidence, and that’s how great teams grow.

To management — your food and quality are fantastic, but please make sure your staff gets good training and teamwork guidance. They represent your brand’s heart. Maybe also tidy up your packaging and cups a bit — everything else was top-notch!

Wishing this restaurant tons of success ahead. You’ve got something special here!

I picked up a 2 meat plate brisket and chicken. That brisket was very tough stringy and dried out. The chicken was dried out also. I ordered a plate and they served it in a small box i can not believe 17 dollars for this. I have giving ratings two restaurants for quite a few years congratulations You have reached the top 10 worses restaurants on the road. Dickey’s always been a good choice until today.

VERY slow. Not rude but you know damn well they dont want to be there. They seemed very annoyed that i wanted to order food. Trash all over the floor, tables are dirty, sweet tea dispenser had no lid on the container, the drink area is an absolute mess, no straws, etc. The meat was very dry. Edges of the brisket was damn near beef jerkey. Chicken was hard. My okra came in one giant fried lump. Not fried pieces stuck together, i mean it was like a baseball. Makes it hard to expect anyone to pay $24.34 for a plate. Nobody expects the best bbq from dickey’s but this is Texas and if you cant act right towards customers and at least try, then you already failed. What a shame for a brand new truck stop.

This has to be the worst Dickey’s barbecue in Texas. The people that work there are incompetent and slow. The sandwich was $10 and it was so greasy , I couldn’t eat it. I can’t believe that this place stays open. Other Dickey’s are better. This one is very subpar. I will not go back and will not recommend.

I ordered a lb of brisket, they got carried away with the pepper, it was like eating a dry piece of meat straight out of a pepper container. I did not taste any smoke flavor, not even sure if it can even be called BBQ, not impressed, I won’t be back.

One girl seem to know what to do. The manager was not interested in anything and was kind of chatting and walking around. The girl was the meat cutter, food prep and cashier. She took out two fist size chunks. Unwrapped chicken the brisket. That was the toughest meat, absolutely driest I’ve ever had. I’m the only guy getting food and it took almost thirty minutes she was doing other things while fix ing my two plates. I ended up giving one two my dog instead of saving it for tomorrow. She liked it.

Very clean atmosphere, including tables & floors. The guy provided good accurate customer service and even used gloves to prepare my order. Good job!

The Turkey and the Pulled Pork sandwiches were delicious! They were better than our usual BBQ spot in Houston, highly recommended!
