Terrible order today. The bread on my westerner was hard like leftover left out from yesterday hard. Then my husband ordered 3 meat plate they served it like a kids plate very little and the turkey was old and grey. All leftovers .So much for a decent dinner

I was pleased with the restaurant being open on NY Eve!! I was the only customer there.
I ordered 2 dinner plates to go and paid $45 plus tip.
Beef brisket and bbq chicken was tasty. The coleslaw I would NOT recommend. It was waxy and almost baby food texture. There was NO plastic fork or other utensils and NO BBQ sauce on the food or in the bag. The macaroni had no seasoning and was bland. We liked the potato casserole.
Hey Owner… maybe this is why Dickies are going out of business. Taste your food for improvements, check the orders going out to customers.
We used to be big time customers. We’d like to give this location another try, but improvements need to be made.

The two men working were very kind and helpful and welcoming we have 5 children under 13 and try to save money everywhere we can and they were very kind helping us and giving us an exceptional amount of food for the money! Blessed that there are still business out there not trying to make you pay for ranch dressing! 11/23/2025
Also want to add the food was great!!!! We had almost everything in the menu and I am a dang good cook and normally super picky and my husband is a critic on mean especially brisket and everything we had there was great! My favorite was the seasonings they put on the okra and French fries and my husband was the mashed potatoes and gravy and my 13 year olds was their giant spuds with chopped brisket on top! So off my experience the reviews about the meat I had zero problem with at all we came in a round 6:30pm at night

Ordered sliced brisket but received a slimy, flavorless pile of stringy meat! I was appalled and now I am still hungry. Order at your own risk!

I ordered brisket and received stringy beef, like roast beef??? It was not sliced brisket or chopped beef. The sauce was cold so I asked for warm sauce which was warmed in the microwave (not a big deal, though). The meat was not only stringy but it was cold. The sausage was also cold and some of the pieces were discolored. I will not return.

My first time here and it was ok. I got 3 meat plate. Brisket was very good. Ribs not really. Too dry and almost no meat on them, just bones. Chicken was good but little bit to dry. Place in clean. People are nice.

I usually go to the Blue Mound location, but we moved out to Haslet recently so thought I’d give this location a try and it sucked! Got me and my wife a loaded baked potato with brisket for each one of us and apparently this location takes the liberty of building it for you. The Blue Mound location gives you all the ingredients (except for the meat) in small containers on the side. And I’m sure we were supposed to get a roll with our order too, but didn’t. Got home and my bag was full of grease! Apparently the guy making my order put out potatoes in the containers upside down! So all the grease leaked out into the bag and all over my truck and on the counter at home. We will definitely not go to this location to order food and get slop instead. So far everything out here for restaurants don’t compare to the mainland. Smh

I would NOT eat at this place. The Health Department needs to be aware. While ordering 1/2 pound of turkey to go, I noticed a guy in the back preparing either a spice/rub in plastic bags. In order to get the bags open, we would blow the bag open using his mouth. This is FLAT out disgusting and against every health codes in so many ways . He did this several times while I was watching him. I tried to call the store last week and then this morning, and there is not a manager to speak with so I am writing this here. This place needs to be written up or shut down. DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!!!!!!

I placed an order with uber eats. $120. The sides were so small they only feed a couple of my children. I am outraged. This is rediculous. I tried calling the store in Haslet. All I get is vm. I am pissed.
