Cannovas Pizzeria IS THE BEST IN TOWN!! It tastes like the Italian food I had in NYC. My boyfriend’s grandfather was born in the Bronx and grew up on Long Island. This is his first pick for Italian food. He says the pizza is as close as you can get for an authentic NYC pizza. Their sauce is so delicious too, it’s not over acidic like other places. It’s slightly sweet! I almost purchased some to go because I loved it so much. Great family business too. PHENOMENAL. I wish I could give this 100 stars!! YOU MUST GO!

Came here last night right at opening. My lasagna was very good, even though the sauce was a bit sweeter than I prefer. My husband’s tomato basil cream was good as always.
My only complaints were that I didn’t like being seated right by the window in the main dining room by the piano. It was absolutely freezing, and took away from the ambiance/atmosphere. The server did ask to turn the heat on, but it was still a bit cold. The hostess seemed eager to get us seated in this particular spot, I mean we were the first to be seated. I’d have preferred to be seated in the other room where it was a bit warmer. It also took away from our date night when the entertainers started setting up in the middle of our meal, it was a bit awkward trying to have a conversation when they were right next to us.
Next complaint is that our New York pizza was undercooked. Crust was done, but the cheese/toppings could’ve used more time in the oven. Will definitely get this again, just need to remember to ask for it well done next time. Cheesy garlic bread could’ve also used more time in the oven.

The crust was the highlight of our pizza, toppings piled on, but it seemed to lack something… high quality cheese. They had a duck breast special that was cooked very well. We also tried the shrimp piccata (which needed a little more lemon). Overall, it was a good experience.

went on a saturday night right when they opened and got seated without a reservation but honestly, i suggest making a reservation when you plan to go- the place got packed right away! the calamari, the new york strip steak special, and chicken alfredo were so delicious and the tiramisu was genuinely the best i have ever had. and not to forget our server, kiley, who was so attentive and kind throughout all of it! later, they had piano and a bassist come in which created an even more beautiful atmosphere. it was our first time here but we already have a list of things to try for next time and we plan to stay longer for the music!

I’ve gone there a couple times in the past and the experience wasn’t the best but this time when I went, it was quite amazing. Definitely a five-star evening. The food was perfect. The server was great. I ended up having a special which I took photos of and the dessert that the owners make themselves, the old fashion that I had was also very good prices were reasonable and the atmosphere and experience were top notch. I can’t wait to go again.

Was here not 3 nights ago and the pizza was stellar. Tonight, 08/23/2025, it was 45 minutes to my table, crust ragged and burnt and didn’t have one of the toppings I asked for…but only told me 35 minutes in.
Something happened from Weds the 20th to tonight. I sure hope the kitchen restores itself.
Final blow…nothing taken off as an apology. Dylan’s service was very good and he apologized for what was brought as my meal.
Won’t be back for a while.

We had dinner at about 5 PM on a Thursday. My husband ordered a sausage sandwich and I ordered a pizza. The sausage sandwich arrived and he had his food gone by the time I got my pizza. The pizza was half raw. He specifically asked for light sauce on his sausage sandwich and was given a lot of sauce plus more on the side and charged for it. They did take the pizza off our bill, but was just totally disappointed.

I have no words. This is hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had. Our server Matt was awesome. We have lived in Neenah for about a year and exploring the downtown area always yields treasures like Cannova’s. Can’t wait to try their Ravioli and other pasta dishes.
