I traveled to Dallas Love Field Airport for a recent business trip and found myself starving upon arrival. I made my way to the food court to examine my options. I stumbled upon a barbecue restaurant called Dickey’s Barbecue Pit. I ended up ordering a pork rib plate with green beans and macaroni & cheese with a big yellow cup of sweet tea. The ribs were tasted great and were very tender. The green beans have bacon in them so you know they are jam packed with flavor and the macaroni & cheese was good too. Your big yellow cup will, also, serve as a souvenir when you finish your drink. They, also, give you a piece of Texas toast with your meal. My only opportunity for them to improve would be for them to add butter to the Texas toast before roasting it. It didn’t taste like it had any butter on it when I took a bite. Other than that, the meal was great. They, also, prepared it quickly which I appreciated after a 3 hour flight. Be sure to check them out if you find yourself famished at Dallas Love Field airport.

My children and I ate there, and I was surprised that it was basically self-serve. Getting a table took a while. The Beef BBQ was great-it’s Texas, the others were okay

If you’re lucky to snag a tall counter seat at this airport BBQ joint, it’s worth every penny. The right side of the restaurant is for to-go orders only, and the left one with a bar allows you to order and eat at the counter. The last couple of years I’ve travelled thru this airport, I’ve eaten here – the same great barman, good and reasonably priced food and the seating position away from the hurrying crowd make this place a welcome oasis.

Place has gone downhill. Used to be the best bargain at the airport, but they’ve gone cheap. Their tacos are cut in half, so you buy two to get one, and the ‘burritos’ are about the size of a taco. Food is still good which is why I left 2 stars, but being cheap is going to cost them since there are too many other good options.

Service was great, brisket was wonderful, would of gotten 5 stars if they didn’t skimp so much on the bbq sauce, be sure to ask for extra. We got the bbq beans, which were just ok and the potato casserole, which was very dry. As airport food experiences go, it was better than most.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Great food. Only reason I gave them 4 stars and not 5 is because one staff reached into my utensils to grab the free sandwich coupon vs allowing me to give it to her. I’m a bit of a germaphobe. Had it not been for that I feel they deserve a full 5 stars. Great job Dickey’s!!!

Had a truly amazing experience with the bartender Brian! Upbeat personality and a great taste in music which made it a welcoming and fun environment! The ambiance was immaculate!!! However while sitting at the bar a piece of the bar fell off onto me and the gentleman sitting next to me. There was even a piece of jalapeño that fell out from behind the spat of wood that fell. The chairs are worn and there’s not a lot of seating.

For an airport version they were spot on. They made good recommendations and didn’t try to sell me more than I could eat before my flight. Got brisket and it was the right recommendation.

The open at 8am at least, I just got breakfast there. It was faaaaaaantastic. Jalapeño sausage with eggs and cheese on Texas toast. Better than Whataburger breakfast and there was no line. My wife went to Whataburger and waited 20mins to get thru the line and receive her food. Gentleman at the counter was very friendly and gave me ice to fill up my water bottle. I’ll be back!!

Sat by the bar and met a wonderful bartender by the name of Brian. The service was extraordinary. However, the bar was falling apart. The chairs are worn down, creaky and not enough seats. As we were having a conversation a piece of the board to the bar stand fall off and a piece of jalapeño
