while standing in line at LUV Dickey’s, I heard a customer behind me order the “Burrito Taco” which indicated the customer obviously didn’t grow up in the Southwest. Back and forth, with people in line laughing and the customer flustered as Dickey staff kept asking “the Burrito or the Taco?” the customer said, “Burrito Taco, that’s what your sign says.” We all looked, and sure enough he was right. Dickey’s at LUV, please correct your sign to say “Burrito OR Taco” for a more welcoming gesture to customers new to the Southwest!

Update: It is really disappointing how Dickey’s responded with this generic reply instead of addressing the issues I brought up. They are proving my point that Dickey’s has just become another poorly managed chain restaurant.
When is something that is defined as “homemade” not homemade? When in comes in a package that says Monarch Ranch and is obviously something that was made far away in a factory – no home involved. I hate that Dickey’s has fallen so far – I have been eating their brisket since they were family owned and the family was behind the counter. Now I paid almost $20 for a sandwich combo that should have been called a slider. Two small pieces of meat that even though I asked for sliced thin and lean, was mostly fat. I guess you could say they did slice it think though -there wasn’t much to those two meager slices on my sandwich. I asked for sauce on the side which seemed to really annoy them. Since I was getting ready to get on a plane, that seemed like a better option. After he poured out a thimble’s worth of sauce, and I asked for more he seemed really annoyed, and after they bagged my order they didn’t put any sauce in the bag. I guess they showed me! I know the Dickey’s yellow cup is a branding item, but what a landfill filler! So much waste for no reason.
I used to look forward to getting a Dickeys Ham and Cheese omelet before I boarded my flight, but those are gone too. Time to start bringing my own food – at least then I will have homemade ranch and my sauce will be in the bag.

The pulled pork sliders are awesome. The most tender and delicious BBQ I have ever had.

Staff was rude. I went for breakfast and ordered the two burrito special. I didn’t find out they were out of hash browns until I asked, even though it was supposed to be included with the burritos. Then I asked when checking out if there was a discount since they didn’t include the hashbrowns. The lady was disrespectful and tried charging me even more than the original meal. I was not happy.

Grabbed some breakfast from this place last week. Sign in front of the restaurant said they had a breakfast burrito deal for 2 burritos, hash browns, and coffee. When we opened our bag, there was only one burrito. We asked the staff at the counter and they pointed to a different menu that said the combo only had one burrito at a different price than the sign. Having 2 different signs is completely misleading to the customer. No apologies from the staff for the misleading sign. The icing on the cake was the one burrito was tiny. Bad customer service and a rip off based on the price

I have eaten at Dickie’s for probably close to 20 years. And never complained. Until now.
Wow. Do not eat at the Love Field location. They were out of sausage, so I swapped for turkey (cold). Brisket? Reminded me of Chevy Chase making his way through the turkey in Christmas Vacation. And….i had to wait for them to cook up fresh okra (kudos: those were fine).
UPDATE: I decided to talk with the manager about my experience. He said the brisket deal is a KNOWN (recurring???) issue. Something about it being the “suppliers” fault??? No refund offered. Did get a refill on my tea.

Decent outpost of the barbecue chain. Airport prices are pretty high but the amount of food you get is fair. I like getting the breakfast tacos here when connecting on a morning flight; I feel like that’s the best deal they have. Sometimes I’ll get a combo meat plate if I have a long layover and don’t bring food with me.

I traveled to Dallas Love Field Airport for a recent business trip and found myself starving upon arrival. I made my way to the food court to examine my options. I stumbled upon a barbecue restaurant called Dickey’s Barbecue Pit. I ended up ordering a pork rib plate with green beans and macaroni & cheese with a big yellow cup of sweet tea. The ribs were tasted great and were very tender. The green beans have bacon in them so you know they are jam packed with flavor and the macaroni & cheese was good too. Your big yellow cup will, also, serve as a souvenir when you finish your drink. They, also, give you a piece of Texas toast with your meal. My only opportunity for them to improve would be for them to add butter to the Texas toast before roasting it. It didn’t taste like it had any butter on it when I took a bite. Other than that, the meal was great. They, also, prepared it quickly which I appreciated after a 3 hour flight. Be sure to check them out if you find yourself famished at Dallas Love Field airport.

AVOID THIS DISHONEST BUSINESS! I ordered the breakfast taco combo, which is $12.50 on the menu. The cashier rang me up, their POS immediate goes to the payment menu (no itemization), and the amount was $14.41 which seemed high. I mention this, the cashier mentions high taxes. I pay and ask for an itemized receipt. They charge $12.95 for the meal. Is this 45 cents a small amount per meal? Yes. Is it dishonest? Yes. I brought this up and none of the workers cared, they told me the amount is $12.95 even though the board says otherwise. If they have 300 customers a day, this is nearly $50,000 annually that they are making dishonestly. And they don’t care! It is wrong to charge an incorrect price.
