Not a good experience from the once was a great bbq restaurant. I can say the service at the counter was great, he told me the special without asking. Loved that!!! I seated myself and proceeded to enjoy my lunch before work. Wasn’t impressed! The potatoes were instant, the so called brisket was tough.. chewable but difficult to cut with a fork, how many brisket lovers know that good brisket falls apart? Bbq beans were great. The peach cobbler was not good!

Let’s talk about the atmosphere, my seat next to a window was dirty, you can see spills and food dripping , let’s not mention the cob webs in the window. If it’s that bad in the front I can only imagine what it’s like in the back.

Moving on to integrity of the wait staff. The lady featured in one of the listed photos sat near as customer were eating to quickly clean up afterwards, (so off putting) 2 men were leaving, before they walked out the door she starts to clear their table (all good and that) but a phone rings as they are going through the threshold she sees one of the men left behind his phone. Instead of excuse me sir you left your phone she watches the customer leave out the door looks at the phone as it continues to ring they get in their car and they start to pull off and she picks up the phone and she sits it back down when she sees me looking at her I was in disbelief that she could do that I continued to do my thing and then she went to get a supervisor. The audacity of this woman was unbelievable.

In a story I won’t be coming back and I hope my review reaches 10,000 plus people

Just to clarify it was my first time trying Dickey’s barbecue pit in Texas specifically in the airport (DFW) and it was one of the best brisket plates I’ve ever had in my life The brisket was tender & moist just absolutely delicious. I never went to this location in Orange County but I noticed the rating wasn’t that great I wonder if the people in Texas care more about barbecue than the people in California? Just something to think about.

I was hoping for some amazing BBQ but it was not that great. The Mac N cheese was bland, the mashed with gravy tasted like it was out of a box. The pulled pork meat was tender and cooked well and once I smothered the BBQ sauce on it, it was the saving grace of the meal. Would I get Dickey’s again, no, but it did fill me up and I was starving! I’m giving it a solid 3.

Great price, decent food. They have not done a good job of making things back to normal from Covid they are still observing protocols that are old news now. Seems like it’s family run and I like that. I like to support businesses like this one.

These people do not care about the food or the customers, I ordered a meal and added extra of pickles and onions, I got 2 slices of each on a 3 meat plate meal, They got my order wrong and gave me potato salad when I ordered coleslaw. Meat is dry and chewy. DO NOT COME HERE

Brisket was really dry and tough- turkey was on point! Its a hit or miss here.

Ordered baked potato meal with chopped brisket drink and fries plus rib.
Lemonade was watery and not cold even with ice.
Brisket was great. The extra rib was very sad looking but flavorful but the potato itself was not very appetizing.
The brisket definitely made the rest edible.
Not worth 18.99.
Just get the brisket by itself.
Overall, meal was technically correct and all requests were followed.
Staff was friendly.

I ordered food for a meeting with my staff. Since everyone wanted barbecue, I chose Dickey’s as it was the closest option. I placed the order through Uber Eats so it could be delivered directly to our office.

The food did arrive on time, which I appreciated. Despite placing a large order of over $143 for six people, we only received four sets of cutlery and no plates or napkins at all. That meant we had nothing to actually eat with until one of my staff had to leave the meeting to buy utensils, plates, and napkins. For a corporate lunch order, that’s unacceptable.

The food itself was mediocre at best. The wings were especially disappointing—they tasted old and stale, as if they had been sitting around for days.

I even tried calling the location around 4 PM to share feedback, but I was told no manager was available.

If you’re considering ordering from this location for a corporate or group lunch, I would strongly recommend looking at another option.

Not a pleasant dining experience. If I want to eat off paper and plastic I don’t have to spend $17. The barbecue itself was OK, just OK, I really resented having to use plastic cutlery and the paper box holding my food. I guess my first clue should’ve been the empty parking lot at prime time dinner time. I wont be back.
