Portion sizes were very good. We had chips, burrito and taco dinners with pickled carrots, and horchata. The chips arrived cold with no salsa. Pickled vegetables were served in a paper dish that soaked through the paper. It would have been better if it was served in styrofoam or a plastic dish. The steak Burrito was huge and well filled; the meat filling tasted slightly like barbacoa and was shreaded, not chopped, and tasted fresh with good flavor. The chicken and steak tacos were more than plentifully filled with meat, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes. The shells were grilled making the edges slightly hard, and both kinds of tacos were bland, needing sauce and the meat seemed hard in spots, as if it was over-cooked. The inside had tables and chairs to sit at. The men’s bathroom was less than desirable and needed a good clean and freshing up. Overall, it was not a bad experience, but could do better.

We absolutely love Taco Diaz. It’s in our weekly or every other week rotation. The steak burritos, tacos, and birria are amazing. I want to really compliment on a WOW customer experience from today – our little toddler accidentally knocked half her burrito on the floor. Without even asking or saying anything, they surprised us with a small burrito just a few mins later. We have NEVER had a bad experience here – all their food is killer from the guacamole to their horchata. Try it all, you won’t be disappointed. ALL at a fraction of other mexican restaurants locally.

Authentic mexican. Good homemade food. The chicken soup was great. You can hane your tacos either Mexican style or American style. Friendly staff. Fair prices. Generous portions.

I visited for the first time today and I ordered 2 chicken tacos and one shrimp taco and they were delicious! My favorite was the shrimp everything was seasoned well but not salty and the young lady who took our order and brought us our food(we dined in) was a sweet heart. I can’t wait to go back and try other things on the menu.

Small Mexican place with some tables and pullout seats. The service was super friendly. The salsa was spicy and fresh. I ordered a chicken burrito dinner which was pretty good. I will be back.

The most authentic tacos in this area! I had the carne asada with cilantro and onion. The meat is succulent and with a tasty seasoning! The green sauce is mild and if you like it hot then the red one is right for you. Both of them have a great authentic taste. I no longer have to travel to Chicago to get good tacos!

We stopped by this small taco spot and was surprised with how great it was! The first time we were here, we just ordered two tacos to try out and were impressed that we came back.
I ordered the quesa birria dinner platter, which came with rice and beans as well as horchata. The quesa birria was so flavorful and I loved the consomme that came with it! The beans were also good but I couldn’t finish it because it was so much food!
The gentleman behind the counter also checked on us to make sure everything was good since we dined in. We also got tortilla chips and salsa while waiting for our food. I noticed most people came here to do pick up rather than dine in. While there are a few tables and chairs, it seems more like a place you’d order for pick up.
Overall, food is worth going to, and prices are decent for what you get!

As you can see the veg gordita is over flowing. I was surprised and impressed that my taco had a whole dinner sized chile relleno on it! I’ve never had that before in that type of taco, they are usually smaller. Not shown was the breaded mozz stix, which I prefer over battered…but the dipping marinara was the best part, huge chunks of garlic in it. Makes me happy to support this small local business.
