Unexpected gem.
We wanted a drink, so we left OC. It looks simple inside. For a bar atmosphere, it was still not loud and was family friendly. There’s a big menu that made it difficult to choose from!
We all ordered different things. My daughter claimed that the Alfredo was the best, besides mine. The scallops were perfect. My turkey dinner was recommended. It was very good.
The jalapeno poppers were delicious as was the dressing on the side.
The vibe was so positive that our waitress started to w to there as a teenager, and even though she’s a professional, she still loves to work there part-time.

New England and Manhatten chowder are amazing. Lots of potatoes and clams. Also, Buffalo tenders have sauce on them and they’re still crispy, thats how wings shoild.be made, nobody wants soggy wings. Always a great meal. Clams casino are amazing too. Seafood is always fresh, staff is always pleasant and helpful. We stop for lunch whenever we’re in ocean city

On my way to Ocean City Jewelers last night I stopped at this great Bar Restaurant. Typical American Horseshoe bar with lots of fun people having a good time. Families couples and others eating what looked like great food. I had Shrimp .. delicious and then an amazing Rueben sandwich with Corned beef. WOW. Cold beer and great atmosphere.

We went last night for dinner there were no seats so we sat at the bar. One drink turned into one too many, all the customers were friendly and the staff was amazing. We asked the bartender if we could leave our car there because we were gonna get an uber home, he said we could leave the car there and no need for an uber he would take us home. We will definitely come back again next time we are here.

Awesome staff!!! Tracy I think her name is, the waitress on Tuesdays is so nice and friendly! Tenders are the best in Somers point and surrounding areas, way better than anyone that claims they have the best in South Jersey!! Really crispy and amazing flavor with every sauce on the menu. Their hottest sauces is just the right level of heat and flavor and their scampi sauce cools down the heat really very and has little pieces of shrimp in it. If you haven’t been there you are missing out!

Great sauce on the wings and tenders. Wings were cooked really well. Tenders were a little overdone and chewy but still good. Old school vibes in here with good food!

I haven’t been to this place in probably 20+ years. Everyone says the Buffalo wings are some of the best around. I have to say I am in agreement. These just edge out Charlies in taste with the mild sauce. The wings were cooked perfectly and the wing pieces seemed to be more meatier in comparison to others. The tenders aren’t your area standard and seem more tender than others that can be a little dry and stringy.
The side tossed salad was a very good size and the Jalapeño Ranch dressing was good, had a little more heat than I anticipated.
If I had one complaint it is the lack of wing sauce at the bottom of the bowl. With meaty tenders i like to dip back in the wing sauce at the bottom but my order was lacking in this area vs, Charlie’s makes sure you have plenty.
I’ll definitely return.

Throwback feel of a local bar with 70’s 80’s rock but also has MANY t.v.s for those who have to have a sports bar. A perfectly gritty gem with a long history that only a few bars survived.Gregory’s ,Anchorage are among the few but this is l the real deal.Dare I say it attracts men that are men so no collars seem more than wrlcome.
