I recently had the pleasure of dining at Đi Ăn, a Vietnamese restaurant offering great tasting dishes, not too far from where I lived in Scarborough.
We started with a few appetizers, including Crispy Netted Rolls, Combo Spring Rolls & Fresh Rolls,
Golden Chicken Wings, and Rib Eye Salad. They were all good, with the wings and rib eye salad being my favourites.
Our next dish was the DIY Rice Roll with Duo Beef Delight Hot Pot. This had several components, which required us to cook the meet in a broth and assemble our own rice rolls. It was fun but we all struggled with making it look pretty but it certainly tasted good!
My tablemates all had the Bone Marrow Pho and it looked great! It was a huge serving, with a big bone, and they all ended up taking home some of it.
I chose to be different and had the Hoi An Chicken Rice. It was really good but I should have taken home half of it. I was so stuffed!
I also opted for the Vietnamese Iced Coffee, which was quite good but it kept me awake until the wee hours of the morning!

Bright, attractive, and energetic décor sets the tone the moment you walk in, and the attentive staff keep things flowing smoothly with a unique, efficient ordering system where guests jot down their selections. The photo-driven menu is an absolute standout—if pictures tell a thousand words, this one is an easy A+. Each dish looks spectacular, thoughtfully composed, and the menu feels perfectly balanced without being overwhelming. The food delivers on every promise: the beef salad was superb and perfectly seasoned, the spring rolls were cooked just right with a robust, satisfying filling, and the Bún Riêu Cua w/ soft shell crab was hearty yet beautifully light in broth. A warm welcome with fragrant tea is the perfect touch. A truly wonderful restaurant that’s well worth the visit—the glowing reviews speak for themselves.

Di An is the spot for fantastic Vietnamese food in Scarborough. I was wondering why this spot was rated so high, but after our visit, I definitely think the rating is justified.
We came by on a weekday afternoon and the place was bustling but were able to get a seat upon arrival. The service was fast considering how busy they were and the food came to our table relatively quickly.
The pho broth here is amazing – no complaints there. We also really enjoyed the bun bo hue. The thing we enjoyed the most though, was the fried soft shell crab, which we find not all Vietnamese restaurants serve. Definitely try it out if you visit! They also gave us a free desert from a promotion they had going on, which was pretty good.
Overall, I’d recommend visiting Di An.

Great food. Great atmosphere.
Everything was very fresh and delicious. We ordered the bone marrow pho and grilled pork vermicelli. Both dishes had great flavor and the meat was cooked perfectly. One of the best Vietnamese restaurants in the city.

My search for the perfect pho noodles the last decade plus is finally over! The food here is awesome. The food is really well done. Side dishes and apps are delicious, as are mains. The reviews led me to this place and reviewers are definitely right. Found my new go to place for Vietnamese food.

We ordered smoked beef brisket pho, special house pho and spread roll. Very very very impressed with their smoked beef brisket pho and spring rolls. Di An Vietnamese cuisine is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in GTA so far. We came here on Monday night slightly after 8 pm. The restaurant is more than 90% full. It was busy but service was sufficient. We were satisfied with their food, service and atmosphere. They served utensils in a glass of hot water, very hygienic. We’ll definitely come back soon and for sure will bring our friends over. If u plan to come here in a party of more than six, making a reservation is recommended and wisely during rush hours.

The broth was clear, aromatic, and well-balanced ,not overly salty or sweet, which really shows the quality and care behind it. You can tell it’s been simmered properly.
The beef was tender and flavorful, and the rice noodles held their texture all the way through the meal. Fresh herbs and bean sprouts were clean and crisp, adding a nice contrast to the broth.
Portion sizes were generous, the space was clean and comfortable, and everything came out well-presented. This is the kind of place you can come back to regularly and still enjoy the same consistent quality.
Definitely recommended if you’re looking for authentic, no-nonsense Vietnamese food.

Came here after seeing a lot of hype on coco’s media and the food definitely does nut disappoint. Got pork vermicelli, mixed appetizer plate, egg pancake, pho and bahn mi. The pancake and bahn mi were superb while the other dishes also were quite good. Definitely worth trying again for some of the other items on the menu. The decoration is also quite interesting, check out the mini TV/radio/clock mix it’s so cool for something that looks kike it was from the 80s.

Really beautiful interior – simple yet brings out Vietnamese elegance. The food portions are large and although higher pricing, it is very reasonable to portion and quality. It’s a very good addition to chartwell mall area. Would recommend their vermicelli bowls.
