Home run!
This place hits it. Let’s start with the atmosphere… spacious restaurant. Booth, table and bar seating. Checks all the boxes.
Service: Lucy was absolutely fantastic. Great sense of humor while being very professional. She had some great recommendations as well.
Food: The wait wasn’t bad at allll. Beer, well, tasted great …and they have a decent selection. The pizza was absolutely delicious. Crust was on point and the pizza itself wasn’t overloaded with sauce/cheese.
Overall, this is a fantastic place if you want some awesome hand-tossed pizza (see my other reviews for deep dish) but Dewey’s has become my go to for hand tossed pizzas.

Great location, very nice for a pizza place and definitely a pleasant experience. However, the menu leaves a little to be desired. It’s a shame that they hand toss perfect crust and it’s left so flavorless..- minimum make garlic butter an option?.. There is also very little app options and unfortunate things like not having whip cream for deserts or certain popular condiments because of “fridge space” are inconvenient..
Good experience to try but nothing worth coming back for compared to other premium pizza places.

Walking in, the restaurant was much nicer than I expected. We arrived 30 minutes before closing, and the staff was incredibly friendly. The Don Corleone pizza, loaded with processed meats, wasn’t overwhelmingly salty. The Pepperoni Pizza was excellent too. Both had a medium-sized crust with a good crunch. Neither pizza was too oily or doughy. If you enjoy dipping in ranch or adding Parmesan, those are complimentary. When it was time to go, they happily boxed up our leftovers, using aluminum foil to separate the two types of pizza we ordered.

We really loved this place. Food and service were wonderful. We ordered the House Salad and it was fantastic. We also both ordered a Calzone and it was probably one of the best we have had here in KC. So many times the crust is too heavy and doughy but this was not at all. We plan to go back soon and try the pizza.

Great atmosphere. Salad was great very crisp and fresh. Pizza was below average. Cheese was wrong combination. Crust was too thick for handtossed and pizza was undercooked.
Taste was average. For being a Specialty Pizza restaurant, the chefs could really use more education. Just another average pizza.

Always a treat! We ordered the seasonal arugula pizza and Ryan’s Inferno. Both amazing. I love that you can buy 1 pizza and they will do half and half! The carrot cake is also good.
We went during the mid afternoon when there were not a lot of people. Nice calm atmosphere.
Parking can be crazy. See picture. The parking lot actually connects directly to where the people going to the light are.

Nice being able to watch them roll out the dough. Ordered a seasonal salad, which was the hearth salad that had Bleu cheese crumbles, along with figs and bacon bits, it was a delicious salad. Ordered the Bronx Bomber and would definitely order it again.

I heard great things, but I was disappointed. Let me start by saying the service is terrific. We sat outside and it was lovely. My rating is due 100% to the gluten free pizza crust, which is not good. It’s a shame, because their pizza toppings are so good, tons of choices and fun combos (I got Socrate’s Revenge). The crappy crust would at least be edible if they left it in the oven long enough and cut the slices all the way through. I would not return for a pizza (maybe a salad). Note to owners: your GF customers deserve better (there are other vendors who sell GF crust – ask City Barrel or Pizza 51 of Minskys where they get theirs).

Stumbled across this place today and so glad I did. Finding quality anything anymore is hard. Pizza meets quality and class here. The place is so nice inside. Open kitchen which I love. Staff was awesome and the food was excellent. I’m a calzone guy and finding any place that actually uses ricotta cheese is hard to find let alone even offering calzones on their menu. You can see and taste the difference in the quality here. They’re doing every right and I’ll be back for sure.
