Craftsmanship and attention detail are displayed here, where guests experience our seasonal omakase menu curated nightly by Chef Ryan McMullen. Serving a Kaiseke/Edomae-style sushi, incorporating aging and preparation techniques that date back to the 1600’s. Upon entering the restaurant, guests are transcended into calming forest of plants. The centerpiece of our dining room is our 14-seat, 150-year-old douglas fir wooden bar and traditional ice chest, where Chef Ryan refrigerates the evening’s fish selections.

This is one of the best dining experiences on the Oregon coast (and perhaps in Oregon). We stumbled upon it while planning a coast getaway and we are so glad we got to dine here. Chefs Ryan and Jesse created a gorgeous, multi-course experience that wowed us with their presentation and unique flavor combinations. The nigiri course was also meticulously curated, showcasing their skills with the knife. The setting is intimate, the decor is inviting, and the chefs make an effort to get to know the patrons all whilst continuing to prepare the next courses. Dew is absolutely worth making the journey for; I know we will be back soon for more.

One of the best meals we’ve ever had on the Oregon Coast!
Dinner at Dew in Pacific City was absolutely unforgettable. Ryan and Monica were incredible hosts — warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about creating an amazing dining experience.
Our omakase started with five beautifully crafted small dishes, followed by nine pieces of nigiri, a comforting dashi soup, and a perfectly balanced dessert. The fish — both local and from Japan — were expertly dry-aged and prepared right before our eyes, each piece highlighting exceptional texture, flavor, and creativity.
The atmosphere was intimate yet relaxed, with every detail thoughtfully done. Dew is a true Oregon Coast gem — a brilliant fusion of Japanese craftsmanship and Pacific soul.
Highly recommend!

We celebrated my wife’s birthday here, and it was an absolutely amazing experience from beginning to end. You can tell that this is a personal passion project for Ryan and team, and it’s reflected in everything from the small, intimate look and feel of the dining space itself, down to each delicious, lovingly hand-crafted omakase course prepared right in front of you. This is food that is made with love, dedication, passion, and intimate craftwork… by people who truly appreciate the joy that comes with sharing something you love with others. We’ll be back again.

I don’t even know where to begin. The only thing I’m walking out upset over is knowing there will never be anything better. Ryan was absolutely awesome. He is the type of person you feel like you’ve know ln your entire life. Super friendly, super passionate, and a great chef. Arrive with and open mind and empty belly because you’re in for an experience. The menu is set and the best part is you don’t have to make any choices. I feel like I have to make decisions all week and sometimes food is the last thing I want to deal with. It was a perfect date night. The atmosphere was perfect, simple, quiet, and personal. I will 100 percent be coming back for the full experience and to try the pizza on Tuesday and Wednesday!

Every single bite at Dew was a standout-thoughtfully prepared, beautifully plated, and deeply satisfying. The omakase-style menu was perfectly paced and showcased an incredible range of seasonal ingredients with Japanese and Pacific Northwest influences.
From the melt-in-your-mouth nigiri to the comforting, umami-rich cooked dishes, every course felt intentional and delicious. The vibe of the space is intimate and warm, with a clean, minimalist aesthetic accented by lush greenery and the soft glow of the wood-fired oven at the heart of the kitchen.
Photos show just a few highlights from the meal and the atmosphere. This place is truly a hidden gem in Pacific City. Cannot recommend this place enough. A must-visit if you love thoughtful, elevated dining in a cozy setting.

This place is such a gem!! The food is exceptional, the setting absolutely gorgeous and Ryan is the most wonderful chef and educator about every dish. Most of the vegetables are grown in his greenhouse and the fish is mindfully sourced. Every course is a work of art! Cannot be missed!!

Dew is an incredible new Japanese restaurant that just opened in Pacific City. We ate there the other night, and it’s not just a meal, it is an experience. The restaurant itself is beautiful, the food from start to finish was amazing, and the service was fantastic. Chef Ryan is not only very personable but also deeply knowledgeable about Japanese cuisine. I highly recommend Dew and will be back again soon!
