The food was delicious! It was well prepared, and the presentation was quite nice. The service from the staff was friendly and efficient all in one.
I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for some good German-type cuisine!

Once again back at Devil’s Acre, and it has yet to disappoint. One of the very first things I have to say about the restaurant, this cozy little nook, would be that the wait staff is so incredibly friendly and attentive in the best way possible. It just adds to the nice ambiance while dining here, making it an enjoyable dinner-time location.
Now onto the food:
The presentation is once again incredible and well prepared. It looks quite professionally done; props to the chefs!

The look of the food is usually not what you visit a restaurant for; you want a good and tasty meal too. In all honestly, their food is delicious. The two meals at our table, and in the pictures, are pork schnitzel with spätzle & grilled asparagus as well as cheesesteaks & steak cut fries. I will not going into terrible detail about the food, but I will say it was well-made and moist. The food was cooked thoroughly as well as having a decent texture and flavor. Additionally, the portions were quite decent sized. For four adults the bill came out to $130 with tip, roughly, which also included four drinks. With that said, it was a reasonably priced dinner for how much food we received. As for the atmosphere, it was quite quiet for dinner time on Tuesday. It was decently lit with more warm lighting than anything else. There are high top tables & regular lower tables (they have all seats with backs). They do also have a bar area if you would rather sit there for food or just drinks. Thank you to the staff who made our visit pleasant. Lastly, I would not recommend this place for vegan and vegetarian folks although they do have some foods that fit that requirement. I, again, definitely recommend Devil’s Acre restaurant if you are in the mood for a relaxed meal and some German-style cuisine!

First time here and we tried the pork schnitzel and Reuben. The schnitzel came with choice of 2 sides, we got the grilled asparagus and the perogies which were good. While the schnitzel was thicker than expected, it tasted good and the bacon jam on top was a nice addition. The Reuben sandwich was loaded and delicious. The service was good and our beverages were also good. We definitely want to come back to try other items.

The hot honey mustard wings here are unmatched. Crispy skin, juicy fall off the bone meat, and tremendous flavor. I also love their well curated German beer selection. This place is great!

Perfect German inspired gastropub; it has everything you’re looking for. Great beer, great atmosphere, and of course great food.

The kielbasa dip is a must try for an appetizer; so flavorful and they give a ton of bread. The sandwiches we shared were also both great.

Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area.

We had a great experience for our first visit to the Devil’s Acre Tavern. We set a reservation on open table, which was not needed. This German influenced tavern has a good beer menu and an interesting selection of appetizers and entrees. Our excellent service was provided by Rhea. On her recommendation we tried the Kielbasa Dip – a completely new appetizer for us. Great smokey flavor and good texture on the grilled bread rounds. We also tried the softer then expected Pretzel Bites with Beer Cheese. For our entrees we had the Pork Schnitzel and the Braised Short Ribs. The short ribs were beyond amazing. A must try. The bacon jam on the top of the Schnitzel was a nice change from the traditional toppings. Dessert was a shared serving of Bananas Foster bread pudding topped with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. Even if the meal had been substandard I would return just to eat that dessert again. Great experience and well worth checking out.

The best poutine I’ve had in a long time. The homemade gravy had a touch of sweetness from the sautéed onions. The fries were still crispy under the generous portion of cheese and the delicious gravy. Absolutely delicious. And cornichons as a garnish with my sandwich! So cute!!

The Caeser salad was a solid 5 stars (clearly handmade croutons), the chicken schnitzel was however a bit chewier than hoped however the flavor of the bacon marmalade made up for it.

Found this place on a random motorcycle ride. First impression, the place is super clean, friendly welcome, and very modern look. We sat at the bar and ordered some appetizers. We got the kielbasa dip that came with a delicious seasoned bread. The bar tender recommended and thank God she did, it was amazing! My wife had the deviled eggs and they were ok. Interesting flavor not bad not great but good. For the main course I got the 4 sausage meal with 4 different types that I could not remember other than the kielbasa and the bratwurst. 3 of the 4 were good, sadly the brat was dry. My wife had the pork Schnitzel. That was very well cooked. Nice and crispy with a very good bacon jelly that was super savory and went well with everything. Our bartender was really nice and gave great recommendations. Will definitely be back by here next time we’re in the area.

Stepping into Devil’s Acre Tavern is like taking a thrilling step back in time to the roaring ’20s! Nestled in Plumsteadville, this gem of a restaurant pays a fantastic homage to its namesake—the notorious Devil’s Acre on the Delaware Canal Towpath along the Delaware River. Known for its spirited (pun intended!) history during the Prohibition era, where it buzzed with illegal speakeasies and was a haven for the adventurous, this spot truly captures that rebel spirit!

From the moment you walk in, the ambiance is utterly captivating. The artwork is a nod to the Prohibition days, with subtle hints of mischief and revelry that truly enrich the dining experience. It’s not just about aesthetics; the food here is a serious affair. Each dish is bursting with flavor, perfectly cooked and presented with a flair that complements its historic theme.

Service at Devil’s Acre Tavern is just as impressive as its menu and decor. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready with a recommendation to ensure your meal is memorable. It’s clear they take pride in both the history and the food they serve, making every visitor feel like a local.

Whether you’re a Bucks County native or just passing through, make sure to stop at Devil’s Acre Tavern. It’s more than just a meal; it’s a vibrant celebration of history, art, and community spirit wrapped up in a delightful culinary experience. A definite must-visit for anyone looking to spice up their dining routine!
