Finally had the Opp. last night to dine at Deutschland Downtown F-Gurg. The staff is extremely nice & friendly and was lucky to meet one of the owners Bobby. Highly recommend the Schweinrolle. The Sauce was prefect and their Spatzel tasted like I was back in Stuttgart Germany.

Local place that has good service and excellent German food. Wat staff was attentive and responsive. My daughter says it is just like her grandfather’s schnitzel. They also have gluten-free options, so my wife was happy. I really enjoyed my chicken schnitzel and the sauerkraut, but the red cabbage was not to the same level (I would have added some brown sugar). Overall, a nice meal, though a bit pricey.

Absolutely love this place for a very filling, fantastic service, chill evening dinner. We typically go a couple hours before they close and have never run into the rush so we get to enjoy talking with the staff and hearing each other throughout a whole conversation. Ps you won’t go wrong sitting at the bar if you are looking for conversation!

I’m a local resident for over 8 years at this moment. With that being said, I’ve dined all over the area near and far. Much like many travelers, I love variety and I love good food. This checks all the boxes and then some.

We were promptly seated (with 2 children under 3 yrs) appropriately and greeted properly with introduction and the friendliest demeanor. Drink orders taken and returned with any clarifications needed at the moment, which was great and very helpful. A moment later order was taken and rapport was built amongst each other and with everyone in the room apparently because by the time the food arrived everyone seemed to have forgotten about whatever troubles existed outside the walls because the place got more and more voluminous, to say the least. This brings us to the food.

There was a variety of items chosen from throughout the menu. They were all very delicious. The mustards and other sauces really set off the accompanied dish. I was hesitant to dine here but any doubt was immediately laid to rest by the flavors I happily enjoyed. We all did, INCLUDING my 2 little girls, who appeared to have the best time of their lives that evening.
So…

Not only was the environment warm and welcoming but the staff and even other customers help make the whole place feel kinda like just a happy ol’ dinner amongst friends from back home.

We ate a late lunch here on a Friday. Small, quaint, German cafe. We were the only customers the whole time. The bartender acted as waiter and took good care of us. I had the Rahm schnitzel and it was great. Spaetzel was great too. German potato salad wasn’t bad either. Wife had the sauerkraut and the horseradish mashed potatoes. Both of those were good too. Son had sauerbraten and let me try it. Very good. Sad we were the only ones there, but we enjoyed it.

We’ve been a few times and have forgotten to do a review. It’s one of my favorite area German restaurants. I wanted a Kolsch beer, so we headed over today and it did not disappoint. I have not tried anything that I didn’t think was amazing.

There are so many variations in German cooking , but I really like their style and choices as it’s very close to what I grew up eating.

Looking forward to the courtyard area opening up as well.

Great service every time!

Tried the pork roll and the duck, excellent. It’s very good but I don’t think neither the portion, the cooking, the presentation or the setting make it a +$25 per entree place. Still rating high because at the end of the day it was good stuff.

Arrived about 30 minutes prior to closing. I came for the schnitzel and was not disappointed. It was prepared well and so was the spaetzle. Great server I believe his name was Justin.

Was really looking forward to eating some great German food. Spent years in Germany growing up. This food was meh. Food was not seasoned, not even salt. Had perogis, wurst, schnitzel, shpatzel and pretzel. Everything needed salt. The service was great but the table was wonky and kept tipping and was very sticky. The wurst part was the price. Extremely overpriced. Sad to say, I won’t be going back.

Very good service, the server was so kind and knowledgeable about the menu. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and it was all so delicious! A nice variety of German fair. They had air conditioned indoor seating as well as a beer garden. I would definitely eat here again!!
