Destroyer in Culver City is an absolute gem. The food is creative, thoughtfully prepared, and full of bold, unique flavors that really stand out. Every dish feels intentional and beautifully presented. It’s no surprise the restaurant has been awarded a Michelin star, which truly reflects the quality and consistency of the experience. The atmosphere is modern yet relaxed, and the service is friendly and knowledgeable without being overbearing. A perfect spot for a memorable brunch or a casual meal that still feels special. Highly recommend.

Food is very creative, and the portion size is really good. The beef tartare is very good, and the rice porridge is nice too. Finding seats is not easy on a Saturday afternoon since you need to get it yourself.

Cafe tucked away among offices and a clay coop serving unique dishes. Herbal teas are blends with names like Desert and Woodlands and are served in beautiful ceramic vessels. We drank our tea with a lovely parsnip cake and were thoroughly satisfied.

Definitely one of the most inventive brunches I’ve ever had. This felt honestly like it could have been a 1 star Michelin experience, so for that I do not have an issue with the price ($$-$$$). The presentation, taste, and ingredients were ON POINT. We had the avocado toast confit, beef tartare, cauliflower leek soup, and espresso shortcake, all of which were amazing. Cauliflower leek soup was definitely the surprise winner of the meal. I rarely order soups at restaurants, so maybe that was part of it, but it truly was I think the most delicious soup I’ve ever had, with interesting garnishes like smoked trout roe and a dollop of embered cream. The espresso shortcake was surprisingly good too (I am not typically a big fan of dry crumbly biscuits like shortbread), like a tiramisu cookie!

The pumpkin spice latte here is the best I’ve had! It tastes like real pumpkin with perfect balance of spices and not overly sweet

One of the more unique spots to grab some lunch! I’ve never been disappointed by the food, it’s always amazing and so inventive. My favorite I’ve ever had is probably the schnitzel but this time around I had the BLT (pictured) and was not disappointed, it was super cool the way it was plated.
The only thing I was a bit disappointed by this time around – I’ve seen people refer to it as a brunch spot and since they have a long list of coffee and a waffle item on the menu, it’s definitely brunch – however they don’t really offer any more traditional savory breakfast items/egg dishes. You can add an egg to anything they have but there’s nothing on the menu with it already included. It took me a long time to decide because I was hoping to get something with eggs. I would love to see them put a hash on the menu, they certainly could do something cool!

Super unique dishes with unexpected ingredient/flavor combinations. Everything was high quality and well presented. The caramelized jasmine milk tea and molasses pecan cookie were so good.

The matcha croissant is a must try!
Visiting LA for a few days and saw a lot of recommendation for this place. Ordered some bakery items and brunch items.
The matcha croissant is my absolute favorite, croissant is super crisp and filled with matcha paste in the middle.
Also loved the beef tartare, first time finishing the chip before the meat in a tartare dish haha. Also liked the porridge (not pictured) – super flavorful and creative.
Didn’t like the French toast that much – a little too sweet.
Seating can be limited especially when there’s good weather. On the pricier side ~$60pp post tax and tip

The perfect La experience. Each pastry was bursting with flavors and my senses were overwhelmed by all of the flavors inside my personal favorite was the Matcha croissant because the peppermint cream was to die for Yum Yum Yum Yum. ☕️
