My first experience at Destination Grille was beyond what I was expecting. The size of the restaurant can intimidating. The holiday decorations and the atmosphere made the restaurant feel so comforting. My friend and I were told a 30 minute wait, we got seated 10 minutes later. Our server, Sam, was excellent. Perfect place for date night or any night! Prices are higher than an average restaurant but you pay for what you get and it’s worth it. Our waitress Jade was friendly, knowledgeable and hardworking. The drinks were well made. Food came out hot and flavorful. We didn’t get dessert as we were stuffed.

I started with a Sam Adam’s Cold snap served in a, not frosted, but ice cold mug and a house Ceasar salad with shaved parm. Salad was great, considering I arrived 30 min. before closing time. (THAT GUY). I used the very clean restroom while I waited for my 4 oz fillets. My server was fantastic, reassuring me that I’m not, that guy. He brought me some homemade bread that was above average… a high quality butter or olive oil and parmesan would have been nice with the bread. Some cracked pepper would have been nice on the salad in hindsight, especially if it were offered. All that aside, next came my twin 4oz beef fillet medallions. One was delivered with a
fromaged top of blue cheese over asiago mashed, while the other was delivered with a truffle parmesan crust also over aciago mashed, both surrounded in demi glace. The entre was incredible! Demi glace was a perfect balance point between the perfectly cooked, medium rare, cut with a fork, fillet and asiago mashed! What was left i soaked up with the bread. Even though I’d finished my meal and my second samuel adams cold snap after hours.The bartender urged me to stick around b4 politely providing my check upon my request. Overall experience 4.8 out of 5 at a price point of 7.5 out of ten. I highly recommend for those of us who appreciate the industy.

Destination grille is a modern culinary destination in Grimes Iowa. The food was excellent with tons of gluten free and dietary restricted options. I personally had the Candied Bacon Cheese Burger and it was good! My partner had the lobster Mac and Cheese and thar was delicious! My biggest complaint about was that the inside was super noisy.we went right before the holidays and it was super busy. However that is no excuse for how the inside was designed. It is the modern day warehouse/industrial feeling location. Which is good for appearances but terrible for sound defining. The parking lot was also tiny for the amount of seating available. But, this isn’t a building review but food review and the food was delicious!!

Everything was great for my first time being here. Parking lot was packed but got a seat at the bar right away, server was friendly and welcoming.
The food was really good. I was in the mood for seafood so I ordered the ceviche and lobster roll. The ceviche was nice and fresh and not overly fishy tasting. Only drawback was the tostados served with it were not freshly fried or warm.
The lobster roll left nothing to be desired. Large portion with plenty of flavor. And it was actual real lobster meat, not cheap imitation stuff.
Was a little pricey but worth it as well. Would absolutely return again.

talk about a terrific dining experience, our server made the night wonderful. At a time when tipping seems to be a forgone conclusion no matter what the service is, I must say I am one who gets frustrated. However, on this particular night, this young lady made everything absolutely terrific. I highly recommend going to this restaurant, and certainly asking to be seated in Chloe‘s section. you won’t regret it.

The food was incredible! So so so delicious! Every bite we took, we exclaimed, “wow!” But the food wasn’t even the best part. The best part was our server, Brody. He made our dining experience magical! He had the most amazing drink, food, and sauce recommendations. We will definitely be back. An overall amazing experience.
