A group of us went to Desmond’s for the first time. I had made reservations ahead of time for a late lunch for 10. We arrived and was placed at a large round table which was great! Then we looked and there were dinner menus on the table. No one wanted dinner so we asked to waitress for lunch menus. She advised us that a group for a funeral doesn’t get the option for a lunch menu only dinner. We express our opinion on not being happy with that menu a few times and even advised this was not for a funeral. She said there was nothing she could. Needless to say, we were not happy with that decision. We were all looking forward to some burgers and sandwiches as we saw was available on the lunch menu. Food ended up being good, service was ok. Not sure I would go there again with a group of people.

Not a great burger at all the meat was weird. Baked clams were dry and bland.Creme brulee was on the menu but they didn’t have it. they couldn’t make a lemon drop martini they didn’t have the right ingredients. Probably won’t go back. Waitress wasn’t that friendly.

We had pretty much the same experience as a previous reviewer. Went there with the family for Christmas Eve. We made a reservation and were there on time. Table wasn’t ready and it took them more than 30 minutes to have us seated. Most people in our party were already unhappy. At least you would think they would try to provide us with a better service from that point on. We also told the manager about our situation and he apologized, but didn’t do anything to give us a better experience. It took them almost 10 minutes to bring us water and when we asked the waiter if he will also take our orders he seems slightly confused and hesitated for a few seconds before answering. Drinks took another 15 minutes. First course was great. When the second course came the waiter probably didn’t know what was what and needed to get assistance. The food was alright, but slightly burned. Dessert was okay. I was able to try all four (cheesecake, vegan brownie, apple pie, Italian cake) of them and the cheesecake was the best. Loved that they had vegan options on their Christmas menu, but for next year I would recommend adding some kids friendly food on their too.

Went tonight for Christmas Eve party of 6. Had a 7pm reservation and was told when we got there at 6:55, they were cleaning our table. We asked again and again and again all the way up to 8pm. Each time, our table was “being cleaned”. Everything took forever once we sat down… drinks and food. Not once did a manager come over and touch the table or apologize. The bartender was overwhelmed behind the bar and I didn’t see either of the managers go back help get her out of the weeds either. Food was average but our waitress was sweet. Will not be coming back.

Party of seven- including three teens. Only had water refilled once and cups and plates littered the table for more than half the meal. The food was ok to good. My short ribs were tasty but incredibly dry. What really made me mad was that the ‘service charge’ aka tip was $49 for terrible service. It makes me feel like they know when they have a big party they don’t have to bother working because the tip is added regardless. I would not recommend

the service was awful !! a full hour to get two simple appetizers. they finally came out and and then found a hair in one of the items. then we were informed one of the dinner items we ordered was no longer available ( this is after 50 minutes of placing the order). server never came to take the new order, had to go up to the host to place the new order, waited at least another 35 minutes. Finally got the food and decided to take it to go so we could eat in our room, Only to find out no utensils or napkins provided. one dinner was ok the other was cold and not good at all.

More attention was paid to the washing dishes and trying to figure out how to use the register than to focus on us as the customer. Mistake made on quick drawer was finally acknowledged but no apology or acknowledgement. The food was very very good, there is a need to be more customer focused and to work on training.
