I’ve had such a good time eating at Desi Tadka Indian Grill — been back a few times trying different things, and honestly, it’s become one of my go-to spots for yummy Indian food in Bellevue! The vibe is laid-back, and the food always feels fresh and flavorful.

I’ve tried the Chole Bhature, Lunch Combo, and Amritsari Kulcha on different days — and they all hit the spot! The Chole Bhature had that perfect combination of soft, fluffy bhature with spicy, well-seasoned chole that reminded me of real home-style Punjabi food. The Lunch Combo was a great way to taste a few classics in one meal, and the Amritsari Kulcha was packed with flavour.

What’s really cool is that they also serve breakfast on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9 AM to 11:30 AM — perfect for weekend morning cravings. Their breakfast menu has fun Indian favourites like vada pav, pav bhaji, bhel puri, vegetable samosas, and pakoras — all great choices to kick off your day with something tasty and a little different.

The staff are super friendly and welcoming, and every visit has been relaxed and satisfying. If you’re in Bellevue and craving delicious vegetarian Indian food — especially with a hearty breakfast on weekends — this place is totally worth checking out!

A friend introduced me to this restaurant, and I was pleasantly impressed from the moment we arrived. I tried the samosa, puri with aloo, paneer tikka masala, butter chana masala, and naan. Every dish was flavorful and well prepared, with the paneer tikka masala standing out as a favorite. The service was warm and attentive, which made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be back!

The food is really good! A lot of vegan and vegetable options are available. Sometimes the place is crowded, so you need to wait. #Food #Vegan #Vegetables #Crowds #Wait

The pau bhaji was exactly right. The kulcha was a surprise hit, with pieces of potato and onion and fresh coriander. It was obviously all house made – all was delicious.

Desi Tadka is a pure vegetarian restaurant in Bellevue. Sooji ka halwa is a great dessert to try here, it’s not extremely sweet and the quantity can be shared amongst 2-3 adults. The music played in the restaurant is a great collection of soothing Bollywood songs. I would highly recommend this place for good vegetarian food. Gur (jaggery) is available along with multiple saunf (fennel seeds). Jaggery is definitely a standout as it isn’t available at any other restaurant.

Food was great. Knocked a star off for a convenience fee charge. What for? Stop scamming customers thinking that taking extra pennies off each order will add up to a fortune. Charge the price you want upfront instead of leveraging secret fees.

If you’re looking to waste your money and ruin your appetite, Desi Tadka is the place to go. The food was downright horrible—bland, greasy, and tasted like it had been sitting out for hours specially Paneer was ages old and even its color had changed. Nothing remotely “authentic” or “fresh” about it.

To make matters worse, the prices are absurdly high for what they serve. I’ve had better meals at gas station diners for half the cost. And just when I thought it couldn’t get more ridiculous, they slapped on an extra $2 packaging fee—for packaging that looked like it came straight out of a dollar store dumpster. No quality, no care, just pure greed.

Save yourself the disappointment. There are far better Desi spots that actually care about their food and their customers.
