I’ll definitely be back to try some of their other flavors. The only small downside is that they don’t allow half-and-half pizzas on weekends, so it would be nice to have that option since they have so many great choices. Still, if you’re craving Desi-style pizza, this place won’t disappoint!
Chili chicken pizza was a little sweet, so I wasn’t a huge fan. But achaari chicken pizza was SOO YUMMY, it was such a unique flavor. Normally I don’t like desi style pizza, but this was really a hit in my book!
If you are a person who appreciates the spices and love pizzas, you should definitely try this out… for the first bite you definitely feel saying… wahh!!!
One small downside was that they don’t allow half-and-half pizzas. Considering how many tempting options they offer, having that flexibility would make the experience even better, especially for groups or if we want to try more options. It’s still a great place if you’re craving something different from regular pizza and something hot. The Desi flavors really make this spot stand out from typical pizza places. Parking can get a bit busy during peak hours, so it’s best to plan accordingly. Overall, I’d definitely recommend Desi Pizza Kitchen and prices are also reasonable
Desi Pizza Kitchen isn’t a very big restaurant. There’s a counter to order at and just 4 or 5 small tables to sit at. Luckily, it wasn’t very busy on a Thursday night, and most of the folks who stopped in ordered takeout so we had a nice quiet place to sit and enjoy our food.
We ordered a variety of items off the menu to try:
1) Chili Chicken Momos — these were chicken dumplings in a spicy chili sauce . So delicious—highly recommend.
2) French fries (always gotta try the fries!)—for $4.99, these were an incredible value. They were crispy and delicious (the seasoning was great—reminded me a bit of Red Robin?) and were a very large helping. Will definitely go back to try their chicken tenders and fries combo.. for some reason I just have to try chicken tenders at some point at every restaurant I go to if they’re on the menu.
3) Old Man Nick salad—this was pretty much a Greek salad. Nothing to really write home about, but the ingredients were very fresh and it was pretty size-able for just $9.99. Shareable b/t 4 people alone but 6 with the amount of food we ordered.
4) Butter Chicken wings—these wings were very flavorful and cooked perfectly. I thought they could’ve been spicier (they weren’t spicy at all), but maybe it was my fault for ordering just the ‘medium’ spice level.
5) Butter Chicken pizza XL—I’ve never had butter chicken pizza before, and after this experience I don’t think it’ll be my last time. The pizza had a good amount of chicken on it. W.
6) “The Bay” pizza XL—this 16”pizza had pepperoni, Canadian bacon, Italian sausage, black olives, and mushrooms. This is an S-Tier combo for protein lovers like me so definitely had to order it. If there weren’t any ladies in the group, I probably would have rolled this up like a burrito and ate it in one sitting all by myself
The staff were very friendly. The bill came out to just over $100 that we split b/t 6 people. Overall, I was impressed with the food at Desi Pizza Kitchen and would definitely recommend trying. I’m more of a thin-crust pizza guy (unless it’s Chicago deep dish), but I would eat this pizza again.
All pizzas were packed with flavor and a nice kick of spice. Crust was crispy and not too thick. The spice level is no joke though, medium will be really spicy so we are going to stick with mild going forward.
Service was friendly and quick even during a busy hour. One deal breaker was they don’t do any half and half which is normally common offering on any pizza orders because single person can’t eat the whole pizza atleast while it’s fresh.
The restaurant seating area is a bit cramped, but overall, a good spot for Desi pizza lovers and small casual setting!
