Tried the biryani from this Indian food truck and it was so good ! Better than many Indian restaurants in Houston.
You can feel the right amount of Indian spices. Every bite was flavorful and satisfying. Served hot with raita on the side. Must try, absolutely worth it!!

We recently tried the Manchurian noodles, and the taste instantly reminded us of the classic Indian street food style. It had that perfect balance of spicy, tangy, and savory flavors — just like what you’d get from a street vendor in India. The noodles were well-cooked, and the sauce was rich and packed with flavor. The Manchurian pieces were crispy on the outside and soft inside, soaking up the sauce beautifully.

What stood out the most was the authentic street-style seasoning and the slight smokiness from the wok, which made the experience feel nostalgic and satisfying. A must-try if you’re craving Indo-Chinese street food!

Desi District on Wheels is more than just a food truck—it’s a full-on desi street food experience wrapped in comfort and style. From the Pani Puri to Indo-Chinese, every bite hits with bold, authentic flavors that remind you of your favorite street corner back home—but with a modern twist. Their menu is fresh, creative, and always exciting.

But what truly sets this place apart is the vibe. The ambient lighting gives it a cozy, festive feel, and the outdoor screen playing Bollywood and Tollywood hits adds such a fun, nostalgic touch. It’s the kind of place where you can kick back, enjoy great food, and catch up with friends without feeling rushed. The seating is clean, spacious, and well-arranged for both families and groups. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or making it a weekend hangout, Desi District on Wheels checks every box—food, atmosphere, and hospitality. 10/10 would recommend!

The service was good but when it comes to the food quality very disappointed when we ordered chicken pulao for to go the food had gone bad it had a off smell and taste we thought it was from the yogurt they served as side but later we happen to notice it was the smell from chicken pulao they happen to serve us food that went bad already and we fell sick the very next day . it’s very important to maintain the freshness and quality of food you can’t just serve food that went bad already just to make profit and no wonder the place was empty with no customers.

We visited your restaurant recently and asked for a menu, but unfortunately, none of the staff responded to us, despite our repeated attempts to get their attention. The place was completely empty at the time, which might be an indication of the current service standards. While your food might be great, the lack of basic courtesy and attentiveness can significantly impact customer experience and reputation. Every customer expects at least a warm welcome and timely service. We sincerely hope you take this feedback in the right spirit and make necessary improvements, as good food deserves equally good service.

We visited Desi District on Wheels today and had a disappointing experience. While we were standing at the counter and politely asking for the menu, there were only two staff members present—one was on the phone and the other did not acknowledge us at all. Despite being the only customers at the counter, we were completely ignored as the two continued their conversation. The lack of basic courtesy and customer service was quite disheartening. If you’re looking for a welcoming and respectful environment, this may not be the place
Better you can go to desi babai

We visited your food truck recently and asked for the menu, but no one bothered to respond or even acknowledge us. It honestly felt like customers didn’t matter to you at all. The truck was completely empty, and now we understand why. Even if the food is good, treating people like they’re invisible is a sure way to lose business. A food truck depends heavily on quick service and customer engagement—ignoring customers is the fastest way to fail. We hope you take this feedback seriously and make some changes, because people won’t come back to a place where they feel unwelcome or disrespected.

Went for a random hangout out and ordered punugulu and paneer 65. The panner 65 was amazing, south indian style and spicy. Must try!
The ambience was also so cool.

Honestly, not sure what’s going on with Desi District – on wheels (NRG). No matter how many times I call, they never pick up — and this has happened several times just this month. What’s the point of having a phone number if you’re not going to answer it?

And if you go there in person, even a simple order takes forever — like 40 minutes or more. I’ve tried calling to place an order ahead and save time, but they never answer. It’s super frustrating and feels like they don’t care about customers at all. Really disappointing experience.
