Both options of mirchi bajji were good. Totally recommend stuffed mirchi bajji anytime.!
Apps wise, Gobi was a better hit than babycorn.. if baby corn pieces were 1 inch long they would be much better than the 1/3 inch bay corn..
Coming biryani, boneless biryani for sure had the lunch with spicy but flavor profile was missing on the rice.. colors were there for sure.. dum biryani definitely had better flavor profile..
Because of appetizers being good, they have 3 stars.. we will try done in next time and update..
Due to family commitments, I couldn’t visit this place when it first opened in my city—but better late than never, right?
We went on a cold Sunday night, and to my surprise, the place looked completely deserted. It immediately felt more like a takeaway spot than a proper dine-in restaurant. The paper plates, plastic cutlery, and overall setup confirmed it.
And yes—my guess was right. Their business model is clearly focused on takeaway / online orders / to-go, with very little emphasis on dine-in even though they have 6–7 tables that could seat around 28 people. It’s just not their priority, it seems.
Anyway, I ordered at the counter:
Goat Pepper Fry
I honestly can’t recall having a better version anywhere. Rajni’s version comes close, but this one wins in consistency and flavor. Absolutely worth it.
Pachi Mirchi Kodi Biryani- Let’s not call it biryani—because it’s not. But as a dish? Fantastic. It’s more like chicken gravy mixed with rice, and it tastes really good. but its miles away from being called BIRYANI.
I’m a big mutton/lamb/goat and biryani lover. Most people hesitate to try goat at restaurants due to the smell, but I always give it a shot—knowing I’ll be disappointed 70% of the time. This time, it paid off.
Overall, I’d give them a 4/5, but:
• I’m deducting ½ star for hygiene. Even if dine-in isn’t their focus, the restaurant still needs basic cleaning. Tables, stands, and doors were visibly dirty.
• Another ½ star for the paper plates and plastic cutlery. I can’t enjoy biryani with tiny plastic spoons—they practically cut your lips.
So technically it’s 3/5, but that Goat Pepper Fry is such a highlight that I’m pushing it back to 4/5.
I’ll definitely be trying more items from them.
The stuffed mirchi and punugulu are absolute highlights for evening snacks — crispy, fresh, and packed with taste. To top it off, their laddu and Mysore pak are incredibly fresh and literally melt in your mouth.
I’ve been visiting this place for over a year now, and I truly appreciate the management for consistently maintaining quality while introducing new items to the menu. The authenticity and attention to detail in their food really stand out.
Highly recommend everyone to visit Desi Cravings at least once and experience these authentic delicacies. Definitely a must-try spot for food lovers!
⭐ Rating: 5/5
The food is authentic and spices are just right. Also, the people are so nice. Everybody who we interacted with was extremely friendly.

What really sets this place apart is the staff, they are incredibly friendly, attentive, and always happy to accommodate special requests. You truly feel welcomed here. Highly recommended for anyone looking for delicious Indian food and a pleasant dining experience.
One of the appetizers weren’t that great and when we conveyed the same they immediately removed that and gave us a new one and that was very tasty.
Definitely this will be a new go to when ever we feel like having Indian food.
The food was just okay and the portion sizes felt quite small for the price. Since it’s a new restaurant, the environment felt a bit chaotic—staff seemed a little overwhelmed, and the service lacked that warm, welcoming touch.
It would’ve been nice if someone had offered recommendations from the menu, especially for first-time visitors. I ordered the Vankayi Bajji, but unfortunately, it wasn’t cooked properly. When I brought it to their attention, the gentleman at the register admitted (with a chuckle) that it was their first time preparing that dish and they weren’t sure how to make it—which honestly made me laugh too. To their credit, they didn’t charge me for the item, which I appreciated as a kind gesture.
Overall, Desi Cravings has potential but has a long way to go in terms of food consistency, portion sizes, and customer experience. I hope to see improvements with time as they settle in.
I am from out of town and been missing home cooked South Indian non-veg curries. This place didn’t disappoint. I ordered the Royal Iguru. Basically a nice shrimp fry curty with good amount of curry leaves. I asked for medium spice level and found it to be plenty hot. The shrimps were nice and tender, and the curry added the flavor to the texture. The rice was also nice and hot and tender.
The place is clean and a nice and has simple yet clean setting.
The service was great. The attendant offered additional rice for the curry.. to soak in all the gravy.
Despite my attempts, I could only finish half and decided to take away the rest.
