I love the wonderful and genuine food. The spicing is superbly delicious, making the entire menu a taste experience worthy of multiple repeats. The atmosphere is congenial and family oriented. The fact that this establishment is operated and largely patronized by persons from the cultures represented by the cuisine speaks highly of authenticity. Thank you for the great service.

As a DoorDash and Uber eats driver, I have the pleasure to visit restaurants across the city and this is a new one for me… Yes, the food takes a little bit of time to cook, but looks very much worth it… The aesthetic and the environment feels like you walked right into an Indian restaurant absolutely amazing

I had a wonderful experience at Chowrasta today with my friends. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet, and all the items were excellent. The price of $12.99 was very reasonable. I do wish that tea was included in the buffet, but I ended up trying the Irani chai separately, and it was fantastic. Everything else was so well-prepared that the Poori could have been a little better. Nevertheless, the food was definitely worth the price, and I hope you continue maintaining this high quality.

I stopped by Chowrastha early in the morning craving a proper South Indian breakfast, and their Idly with sambar completely exceeded my expectations. The idlies were unbelievably soft — the kind that almost melt before you even chew them. The sambar had a deep, homemade flavor with the perfect balance of tanginess and spice, and the chutneys tasted freshly ground. You can immediately tell the kitchen cares about authenticity. It felt like eating breakfast at a traditional home rather than a restaurant. Definitely coming back to try more!

If you like spice, you absolutely must try the Mysore Masala Dosa. The red chutney spread inside gave it a deep, fiery flavor that spice lovers will appreciate. What impressed me most was how the dosa stayed crisp even with the filling — no sogginess at all. The balance between heat, crunch, and the soft potato filling was excellent. It’s the kind of dish that makes you slow down and really enjoy every bite.

Their Masala Dosa reminded me why classic dishes never go out of style. The dosa was beautifully golden and stretched across the plate with that satisfying crispness when you tear into it. Inside was a flavorful potato masala that wasn’t overly turmeric-heavy like many places make it. Instead, it had a subtle seasoning that allowed the onions and spices to shine. Paired with multiple chutneys, each bite tasted slightly different — which made the meal exciting from start to finish.

A menu with varied options at reasonable price point and portion size.
The Indian crowd and the menu teleports to India.
Everything I tasted was good, satiating my Indian taste buds. However, Special mention to the snacks and juices section. Snacks are always served hot and juices, fresh.
The ambience is also perfect with so much natural lighting and bright colours.
Service is also quick and easy. No mess.
Great to come with friends, family, alone, anyhow.

We stopped at this restaurant for a quick brunch and it turned out to be a flavorful experience. We ordered dosa, idli, and puri—each dish was served promptly and was absolutely lip-smacking. The spice level was just right, perfectly enhancing the taste without overpowering it.
The flavors really woke up our taste buds! To wrap it all up, we had saffron chai, which was the cherry on top—aromatic & refreshing. Highly recommend for a quick and satisfying brunch!

Chowrastha is a fairly new Indian restaurant. They have a mind numbing variety of foods available. Not knowing what most of them are, I chose the lunch special and got two different kinds of chicken (I could have chosen goat instead), Naan bread, and a super sweet little round donut in some honey sauce. All was delicious. I also tried the Samosas, which are wonton-like deep fried and filled spicy meat or onions. Tasty, it very spicy. There is also a beverage bar inside. The atmosphere is light and fun. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. Reasonably priced.

The Ghee Karam Idly here is something special. The moment it arrived, the aroma of ghee hit the table and made everyone hungry instantly. The karam podi added a warm spice without overpowering the dish, and the ghee tied everything together beautifully. Every bite was rich yet comforting — not greasy, just perfectly indulgent. If you enjoy bold South Indian flavors, this dish alone is worth visiting Chowrastha for.
