I’ve been visiting Desi Adda regularly for the past 3 months, and I can confidently say this place serves some of the best South Indian food in town. Every single visit has been a great experience—authentic flavors, generous portions, and consistently high quality.
If you’re a fan of bold and comforting Indian dishes, this spot is a must-try. Here are some of my favorites:
Mutton Ghee Roast & Chicken Ghee Roast – Incredibly flavorful, tender, and perfectly spiced. Easily the stars of the menu.
️ A great selection of South Indian breakfast – Soft idlis, crispy vadas, hot mysore bondas, punugulu, and the sambar is outstanding – rich and full of flavor.
Their egg and chicken puffs are fresh, flaky, and loaded with filling – the perfect snack!
Plenty of veg biryanis and pulaos, and the Apollo Fish is a personal favorite – crispy outside, tender inside, and packed with taste.
☕ And don’t miss their Irani Chai – strong, creamy, and absolutely satisfying. It’s the perfect way to end (or start!) your meal.
What really sets Desi Adda apart is the balance of quality and quantity – you get amazing food with generous portions at a great price. I’ve never gotten bored of their menu, and I always leave happy.
Highly recommended for anyone craving real Indian flavors. This place deserves way more recognition!
And the best part – the chai was best we have had in Houston. Definitely coming back!!
I was hungry for lunch and I was not able to finish more than 2 idlis.
The sambhar is andhra style and was authentic.
I also ordered 1 paneer puff and it tastes good as well. I bought that thinking of food is not enough will add a snack.
End up bringing it back to home.
The service feels homely and welcoming.
The sitting is small only 2 tables but other than that it was good. I am going to try gobhi Manchurian, samosa and may be a few other item.
Also there was no flavor. It just felt like eating green chilli and mutton.
They don’t have quality standards. Got egg puffs and 3 slices of cake (jamun cake, butter scotch and black forest)
Egg puffs was definitely few days old….There was no egg white in one, all that there was is hardened like a rock small piece of egg yolk.
Not sure how old the cakes were.
I got sick last night. Upset stomach and nausea after eating this.
My husband and kid got upset stomach also.
Definitely they have pest problem
I WILL NEVER GO BACK
The service was warm and attentive, and the ambiance made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Definitely a place I’d recommend for anyone who loves delicious Indian food with great variety and quality.
