Alhamdulillah, I just have to share this about Deshi Bhoj.
A big salute to the chef and the entire management team. I honestly don’t know how he makes every single item taste so amazing. I’ve tried many different dishes, and each one is even more impressive than the last.
The food was fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. I usually order online and have tried many other restaurants, but Deshi Bhoj truly stands out. Everything was perfect. Even the iftar packaging was done beautifully. You can really see the care and professionalism in every detail.
May Allah put barakah in your business and reward your hard work. Deshi Bhoj is truly one of the best. Highly recommended.

Tonight I ordered the Fish Combo with Hilsa from
Deshi Bhoj Restaurant on Conant, and honestly, the experience was unbelievable. The combo came with Hilsa fish, Aloo Bhorta, and Dal, and the quantity and quality were beyond explanation.
And the taste — oh my goodness — so, so, so tasty. What shocked me the most is that this was an online DoorDash delivery order, yet all the food was fresh, truly fresh. Normally, when you order a combo, it comes with two or three curries and rice, but it’s rare to get everything fresh through delivery. I’ve tried food from so many restaurants, and this is the first time I received such fresh food in an online order.
This is what you call authentic Bangladeshi taste. I can challenge anyone: if you have cravings for real Bangladeshi food, this restaurant is highly recommended. Highly, highly, highly recommended.
I don’t know about their other dishes, but the one I ordered was superb — truly superb. From the very first bite, I felt like it was my responsibility to share this with the community. The quality, quantity, taste — everything was just speechless.

Food is delicious and the owner is gracious. I ate and packed rest of it for my dinner. Deshi combo with 1 bhorta, fried hilsha fish (2 pieces), daal and salad was awesome, I added goat curry and begun bharta to it. Rosomalai was so good. Loita bhorta and aloo bhorta was yummy to eat with daal n rice. Hilsha fry with green chili and oil in which it is fried is still making me salivate. Goat curry reminded me of homemade curry. Overall highly recommend this gem on Detroit for authentic Bangladeshi food.

Excellent service and truly unique, distinct cuisine! Bangladeshi HOT! We tried both the dum chicken briyani and the fish briyani. Tasty tasty tasty. Shrimp curry was delicious. Service was great. Bring cash and avoid the service charge.

This is the finest Bangladeshi restaurant I have been to in Michigan. The location is the heart of the Bangladeshi area in Detroit-Hamtramck. Food was out of the world! We’ve been looking for a Bangladeshi restaurant for so long and luckily they opened it close to our city. We’ve ordered Beef Chaap, Luchi, Chicken Chaap, Bhuna Kichuri & Mutton Kacchi.
All the foods were mouth-watering and if you’re looking Bangladeshi spicy, this is for you.

The first look at the restaurant made me a little skeptical, to be honest, about having dinner at Deshi Bhoj. However, I was blown away by the quality of their food. Freshly cooked vegetables, Loitta bhorta, Kala bhuna, Aloo bhorta, daal, and rice were of super quality. Mr. Mahfuz, the gentleman at the counter, was extremely helpful and courteous. We stayed three days in Detroit. And we made a point to go there and have lunch and snacks every day. I highly recommend this place for people interested in having tasty and authentic Bangladeshi food.

In terms of Food, Service and Atmosphere, Deshi Bhoj is just amazing. The people are very accommodating, and takes the time to explain. Food is great in terms of quality and quantity, nothing pre cooked…tastes like home cooked. Also like the option of selecting specie level, really helps when you have kids who may not like spicy food. Great Restaurant by all means.

We were visiting from Toronto and had the pleasure of dining here. It’s spacious, clean and friendly staff. They were very helpful and welcoming. The food was also super good. No complaints!! We got a lot of different foods but the doi fuchka stood out as I love spicy food and there was naga in it!! The flavour was so good and the spice level was perfect. It was such a satisfying burn!! I highly recommend you give it a try.
