I had the Shrimp Desfina, which was really delicious. The lemon and feta cheese were great complements to the shrimps and rice. They gave about 9 to 10 shrimps, which was really generous. Furthermore, I was also surprised that they served three slices of bread with butter and a special dressing. The service staff were kind and checked on me to ask if I needed anything. One of the staff members even took the initiative to tell me that I can shake the dressing and add it to the bread, as I was initially unsure what it was for. The staff members were always available, so I could easily ask them for a packaging box to take away the rest of my food. Finally, I enjoyed the nice ambience, which fitted the Greek theme of the restaurant.

We come to Desfina once every time we are in Cambridge/ Boston. Their grilled seafood is excellent. Depending on your taste buds, you might want to add a few shakes from the salt shaker. I’ve gotten lamb their as well and it’s usually very good as well although we prefer to stick to the seafood. We tried the desserts last night, they were a bit overwhelmingly sweet and big. I think my biggest issue is that they were cold. I would have wanted them warmed up, but overall, another great experience at Desfinas! Most of the time the service is very good, last night they did an excellent job with us although it was so busy. When you go during dinner time it can get quite crowded and loud so just be aware you might want to make a reservation ahead of time. Most people that go are locals so the place gets pretty packed unless you come before 6:00pm you can probably still find a spot without reservations. I wouldn’t recommend bringing kids as the atmosphere is more fitting for adults hanging out. The tables are also rather close together so it’s a pretty intimate setting.

Finally checked Desfina out. I had the special Grillied Swordfish, Cristian had the Shrimp Desfina. The waitstaff was great , friendly and the food was delicious. It is winter time plus extra cold tonight, I recommend wearing a long sleeve top when you go, my short sleeve polo left be a little chilled. I will return here as I want to try the lamb still.

I had an appetizer, grilled octopus and it was pretty good. I would have ordered a full meal but my experience didn’t start good. As I was going to sit down, the manager (or owner) just grabbed my chair and walked away with it even as I’m saying I’m sitting there. Anyway, the waitress Malika was friendly and attentive.
I have no interest in going back.

I have visited Boston multiple times and this may be my favorite meal so far. Notable mentions include the pistachio martini, the fresh tzatziki, the mousakka (holy cow the bechamel sauce), and the house made vinaigrette for dipping the fresh artisan bread. Every bite was fantastic. Lovely atmosphere too!

Not the most incredible food, but definitely good. The really cool thing about this restaurant is the staff. They are amazing, and we ended up dancing with them on the notes of some live greek songs. A bit expensive but the experience is worth the price. Definitely recommended!

Don’t let the exterior discourage you from visiting this restaurant. I had lamb chops with baked potatoes, and the meat was so tender it practically melted in my mouth. The seasoning was perfectly balanced, with just a subtle touch of sourness that kept the dish from feeling greasy. Despite the price ($37), the dish was well worth trying. The owner and staff were incredibly friendly, checking on us often since we mentioned it was our first time. The atmosphere was welcoming, and there’s also a bar counter for drinks.

I love this restaurant! It’s been a local staple for many years, and I revisited it recently only to be reminded of how good the food is and how wonderful and laid back the atmosphere can be. They had live music on a Thu which was loud enough to enjoy but not loud enough to ruin dinner conversation and all the dishes we ordered were fantastic and authentic. If you find yourself in the area, don’t hesitate to stop by and grab something- even if it’s just an app/snack!

Bakalao was a big disappointment. The menu described it as “pan-fried salted cod,” but it turned out that the fish wasn’t pan-seared or pan-fried at all. Instead, it was dipped in a layer of flour and deep-fried. It tasted just like the fish typically served with fish and chips. The flavor was lame compared to its price.
I believe the restaurant should use the correct terminology to avoid misleading customers.
The lamb dish tasted nice though.
