Now the WINGS! YUM YUM. The perfect crunch, great BBQ, just absolutely delicious. And 10 wings for $10? Sign me up.
First off, the size and weight. These are big and heavy pizzas. A large could easily feed a family of five average sized adults. And the toppings are generous. The pizzas are a little expensive, but when you consider how big they are they are a decent value.
As far as the flavor, it was a very straightforward pizza. I ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pizza. I love a lot of mushrooms on my pizza, so it was nice to see the amount they pile on here.
The crust is crunchy on the outside, yet soft on the inside. I loved the crunch, but I wish it had some garlic butter on it. But honestly, I was perfectly satisfied with this simple pizza.
My only real complaint are the slices are huge. That’s great if ordering by the slice. But I would like smaller pieces when I buy a whole pizza. It’s just more convenient.
The guys working in the kitchen were obviously understaffed. But they did a good job to hustle and get orders out as quickly as possible.
I noticed they offer pizza by the slice during lunch hours. That’s gotta be convenient for someone looking for a quick bite on their break at work.
Oh, and they have Grippos chips! Grippos are hard to find in Mansfield. That was a nice surprise.
All in all, a solid experience. I’ll be back for sure.
A humble mom and pop establishment that I’ve been going to for over 40 years located on Ashland road (state route 42) just on the outskirts of Mansfield.
Their food is meant for the hungriest of appetites and not for the eyes are bigger than their stomach types. In other words the portions and everything here are humungous!
They’re not a chain restaurant and I won’t even eat pizza in the Reynoldsburg/Columbus area I have to gas up the car a hop on 71 north to Mansfield.
They’re a drive through (we call it a beer dock) so they don’t offer a dine in facility. The service was excellent and since I ordered mine “no bake” the cook was kind enough to write down the instructions on how to bake my pizzas when I returned home from the long drive.
Reading my review is one thing actually experiencing this enormous pizza is an entirely different thing. I ABSOLUTELY l❤ve Dechner’s Pizza! No other pizza compares.
Thank you!
