This is a solid napolitan style pizza place. Even by Italian standards this is a good pizza. At lunch there’s next to no line so try going earlier versus at dinner. Prices are high but you get a quality that you pay for. There is free basil and garlic and oil avaliable after you order which is an excellent touch. I’d come back any time.

I enjoyed my experience at DeSano. The pizza was good as was the salad. I will note that it was quite pricey compared to other pizza joints in Austin. Although I understand as it seems like they use very high quality ingredients. The menu had a number of good options, so you can’t go wrong with whatever direction you go.

My husband and I came here for the pizza school to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and it was such an amazing experience! We got to make our own pizza, which was so much fun and made the day extra special. Jordan was very kind and professional, and the whole team made us feel welcome. Everything we tried was outstanding — the salad, the meatballs, and of course the wine, which was absolutely delicious. The pizza we made honestly felt like the best we’ve ever had. We’ll always remember this day, and we’re so grateful to Desano for helping make our anniversary unforgettable. Highly recommend the pizza school experience!

Happy hour until 3 pm. Best Italiano pizza in Austin. We’ve been to Italy and love the authentic charm. There’s a dough room and four Italiano ovens. Kids can get dough, and a chef hat to work with while you wait. Sign up for a date night with others, or a group with your family to make pizza!

Amazing pizza!! Two large pizza fed my family of 5. A little pricey but worth it! They even gave my kids dough to play with while we waited for our pizza which came out pretty quick. It you want high end pizza this is your place! Good drink options and dessert options too.

Every brown person knows the feeling when u just walk in a place and the staff become hyper vigilant and the manager walks over to ask their employee what’s going on. You feel like a criminal! I’ve seen it in TV but first time it happened to me – and hard to believe at Desanos. It makes you feel tiny!! Posted a receipt to show that I was there to pick up my order. Filled two garlics and one chilli oil and the horrid lady giving me my food told me to get my 4 drinks by myself – which I did as the tall manager walked over to see what was going on. Friday night in our house is Desano’s night. We are from Chicago and we love, love and love this pizza. We’ve ordered DeSanos for the last 3 years every weekend. The ‘I’m doing you a favor’ scowl young lady and the other behavior has ruined Desanos for me. My review is not going to make much of a difference- pizza is still A+ but going to take a break from this place. Miss the days when you went to your neighborhood restaurant and everyone knew your name and served you some comfort food that gave you respite from your hectic life! Didn’t even feel like eating the darn pizza afterwards!!!!

I gave the 12″ lasagna pizza a try, The crust here is more “floppy”, but I didn’t mind. Though you may want to let the pizza cool for a few minutes in order for the toppings not to slide off. Overall a fresh tasting pizza and the 12″ was just enough for me, as the ricotta was rich and helps you stay full.
Service was great as well, and I would return.

The pizza was really good. The flavor was amazing and the pizza crust had a nice smokey, crunch. If the center of the pizza wasn’t floppy, I would’ve given this place a 5 star. I like the bicycle theme inside and it’s cool that you can see the chefs make the pizzas in the pizza ovens. We will definitely stop back by when we’re in Austin again.
