We had lunch here last week for the first time in a while. Enjoyed some good drinks – recommend the Aperol spritz. The mushrooms appetizer is truly a flavor bomb of pesto goodness. Always love the marinara at Depalmas. Great on everything!

Had to sit at the bar this time. I’ve been eating here since college, 1999, and it’s always been good, BUT, DePalmas Eastside has a better menu. Bar tender was superb in his attention. As always, it will stay on the list of places to dine in Athens. THE GREATEST COLLEGE TOWN!

My wife and I came here on a Friday afternoon in February 2023. Quiet place. The atmosphere is fantastic! Our server was excellent. He was knowledgeable with the drink menu and the main menu. We enjoyed an appetizer and some refreshments. Everything was perfect. Prices are as expected given that it is 2023. It was cool to watch the pizzas being hand tossed in the window. Nice touch.

Great Italian food with a good variety between pasta, pizza, and salads. Check out the breadsticks with two varieties to pick from. The last lunch specials are great. This restaurant is one my favorite places in Athens!

Alright, I feel like a total Karen, and I never leave bad reviews, but this just wasn’t cool. I simply ordered TWO sandwiches during the lunch hour. The person who took my order was friendly. However, IMMEDIATELY walking in the door, the hostess said “if you want to eat here it is going to take 45 minutes-one hour.” I didn’t even say anything yet. I just responded that I had a to-go order. They said I could wait at the bar. I thought that odd, since I ordered 35 minutes ago, and it was a small order of two sandwiches and I was already late getting there, but I said ok, and went to the bar. I made a phone call to a friend to pass the time and observed TWO people at the bar and TWO people in a booth behind me. I observed no more than that in the restaurant – if there were more, I sincerely apologize. Finally, after waiting at the bar thirty minutes (now a total of ONE HOUR AND FIVE MINUTES), I approached a waitress and calmly stated that I was so sorry for seeming rude, but this was ridiculous. All I wanted was two sandwiches. They finally brought out my order. Instead of apologizing, or doing anything nice, they actually CHARGED EXTRA for a SIDE OF RANCH I ordered.. that’s what sent me over the edge. I have a gift card to this place, and yes, they already have the money, but I won’t be using it – or ever going back again. The food was greasy. The pasta salad as a side was small and left much to be desired. I hate complaining, but seriously? To even charge for a side of ranch after all this? Horrible customer service. You could have given me that..

Food was really bland. We had fettuccini Alfredo, pasta with marinara and meatballs, and an Asiago chicken sandwich. The sandwich was dry because the left the sauce off completely. First they said they didn’t have the sauce that used to come on it but they would make more, then they came back and said they wouldn’t make it, then they finally took it back and added mayo, then the sandwich was cold and other people in our party were done eating. There was one other table seated in the restaurant at the time, so they weren’t busy. The waitress also forgot my drink order and came back to ask for it a long time later. She also said they had tiramisu and they didn’t. Maybe she was new? We also waited a long time to be seated and wandered around the front before seeing anyone. It was around 1:30 on a weekday, so a normal lunch time. This place was good ten years ago, not do much anymore.

The food is amazing and the service is great. The pasta is cooked perfectly and the sauce is delicious. The stuffed mushrooms are legit. They also have a great wine menu. I highly recommend this place.
