As agent Dale Cooper once said, “that’s a damn fine cup of coffee.” I love how small this diner is but there’s soooo much personality. From the Denville historic pictures and maps to the friendly staff. Everyone here has a great attitude and it just makes this place feel like home. The food is simple but filling and the menu is small which is a nice touch compared to some Jersey diners that have an overwhelming 8 page book.

This is my second time here. First time for breakfast this time for lunch. Small diner in downtown Denville. Not many tables but both times I’ve been able to walk in and sit down. They also have some tables outside. The staff is friendly and answers all questions. Their burgers are pretty good! The waitress told me they’re freshly made which was the selling point for me. Their fries are also the perfect crisp. Breakfast was decent when we came, but in general I prefer lunch food.

So good! I haven’t been here in a few years and I was SO glad I stopped back. The food and menu were excellent – the atmosphere was quaint and fun – clean and cute. The servers were so nice and helpful and we got our meals extremely fast. I can’t wait to go back.

Came here for a little Sunday lunch. The staff was very friendly and quick. The service was great. My burger not so much. I got a jersey brunch burger. I asked for it medium and it was very well done and the burger itself had no flavor. The tomatoes on it were cut way too big. My wife order eggs and home fries and the home fries were not seasoned at all. They were quite busy. I would love to come back when in the area and try different dishes hopefully it will be better.

My partner and I came here based off of the good reviews. It was busy upon entering. The apple pie French toast was a 7/10. It had light tough of apple but nothing crazy. The egg and hashbrowns were your typical breakfast nothing special. The hot chocolate was okay. As you got closer to finishing it tasted more watery. The breakfast quesadilla was also all right. The salsa had a bit kick but it was pretty decent overall, I probably would not come back here again as I have been to Better diners, especially for the price that we paid. The staff was very generous and kind. The food was not the best though

Denville Diner is one of the my favorite small diners in Morris County! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and top-notch service. The food is exactly what you’d expect from a classic New Jersey diner fresh, delicious, and served hot. Whether you’re stopping by for breakfast, lunch, or a late-night bite, Denville Diner has something for everyone.
What really sets this place apart besides the affordability is the amazing staff. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they genuinely care about their customers. A special shoutout to Kathy she is an absolute gem! Kind, attentive, and always wearing a smile, Kathy made our experience even more memorable. She’s a true asset to the Denville Diner team.
If you’re looking for a cozy, clean, and reliable small eats diner near Denville NJ, look no further. I definitely plan on returning and will be recommending Denville Diner to friends and family. Great food, amazing staff, and a hometown vibe what more could you ask for?

This was my first time at the Denville Diner. Stepping into this restaurant I was instantly impressed by the patriotism on display in the form of a very large American flag displayed on the wall.
The Denville Diner is a “bruncheonette”, they close at 3:00pm so as long as you get there before 3:00 they will seat you.
The staff and servers are so welcoming and friendly you will feel right at home.
I ordered the crispy chicken BLT on a roll with Freedom fries and it was the perfect lunch.

Decided to get breakfast at Denville Diner BEFORE church today. Mom’s got the Lemon Ricotta Blueberry pancakes while I have Scott’s World-Famous corned beef hash. We definitely love this place… it has been a go-to after church for years. The daily specials never disappoint. Never a bad meal. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. They remodeled in 2020, nice update. Staff has always been friendly and courteous. One of the best in Morris County.
UPDATE (Jan 2022): Still amazing, have to try the Burger pop-up at night during the week… can’t wait!

This cozy little diner in Denville may be smaller than your typical New Jersey spot, but it more than makes up for it with quality and charm. Tucked away in the center of downtown Denville, this small diner is a true local gem. It’s more low-key than your typical flashy New Jersey diner, that is smaller in size, with a tighter menu, but the food is top-notch and made with real care. The weekly specials are a standout: creative, comforting, and refreshingly different from the usual diner staples.
It’s the kind of place that feels like home, serving mostly local families and folks from the area. Super friendly staff, a warm, welcoming vibe, and consistently delicious meals make it a go-to spot for anyone looking for great food in a relaxed, family-friendly setting.
