It does what it does, perfectly. Everything is as fresh as one can expect. The shrimp and catfish are amongst the best I have had, anywhere. I suspect that they make their own cocktail sauce, and it was excellent. The salad was simple, but very fresh with perfectly ripened, extremely red tomatoes. Great country atmosphere. Not a fancy place, but a place that is definitely about the food.

My whole family enjoyed this beautifully refurbished 100+-year-old general store-turned-restaurant with welcoming staff and charming West TX décor inside and out. The large chicken fried chicken was fresh, nicely crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. We’ll be back to try more dishes and will be sure to bring friends and family when we do!

Awesome atmosphere, great/friendly staff, great food. We liked the chicken fried steak and the shrimp!
Seriously, my son said he wanted to stay all day and it’s after 8pm.
This was a great place and i enjoyed the live music and watching the kids play and have fun.
Only thing I’d personally recommend is house made ranch. I didnt care for the packaged ranch yall gave out. But that doesnt affect the rating.
Well be back again. So glad we finally made the little drive and checked it out.

Good service and food, awesome unique historical atmosphere! Enjoyed the conversation with Chuck and viewing pictures about the history of the local area. Look forward to going back especially in the warmer months to enjoy the outside area with fire pits and band.

Great had a 3 piece cat fish plate it came with Cole slaw ,red beans,french fries and 4 hush puppies !!! It was 8.99 it was soooo good !!!! Y’all got to try this place !!! Loved it !!!
