1.Food wasn’t very good this time around classic sample was cold when served and coffee was like more water the coffee just had a flavor of coffee
2.Also wasn’t able to finish the omelet I ordered cause it had a weird taste of stale and it warm/cold like it had been sitting there awhile before served
3. My husbands order:wasn’t filling like he thought it would be like it usually is when we order food
This place you used to be so good now it just seems like it’s going down hill needs to do better

This evening, January 6, 2026, after a long day of traveling across the country, my partner and I decided to find something for dinner in Amarillo, Texas. We stumbled across The Melt Down sandwich shop. After multiple failed attempts to place an order due to the website not accepting our card, we decided to load back up and drive to the location. To our surprise, it was inside of Denny’s. Sarah H immediately greeted us with a bright and happy smile! After explaining the issues we were having, Sarah explained that she could place the order but she would have to hand write all of the ingredients for the builds then manually key them into the system. The service we received was absolutely phenomenal, she took the time to give recommendations for add ons but also recommended the burger options which all sounded very delicious. Little did we know, our local Denny’s offers the MeltDown as well. We waited a total of 12 minutes, from walking in, to walking out. Without a doubt, we will be returning to our local location to give it a try, however, the service we received at the Amarillo location will be VERY hard to beat.

We stopped tonight as the storm forced us to have a later dinner, the service tonight by our server Jessica V. was so exceptional. She tended to our every need. Thank you young lady! Also, I can’t say enough about the manager, Sara. She knows how to run a good ship, we appreciate people like you all. I can’t leave the cook, Chito out. Yummy food! Many blessings!

I had a great experience at Denny’s recently and wanted to give a shout-out to the amazing service. The food came out hot, fresh, and exactly how I asked for it, but what really made the visit stand out was our waitress, Sylvia.
She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and patient the entire time. She checked in on us just the right amount, kept our drinks filled, and made sure everything tasted good. You could tell she genuinely cared about making sure we had a good experience.
It’s not often you get service that good at a busy restaurant, so Sylvia definitely deserves recognition. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I hope I get seated in her section again. Highly recommend this Denny’s!

This was our first time dining at this restaurant and we were not impressed. While the service was good the food was not. Seriously, how can a cook put food that’s clearly not cooked right on the plate to be served?? I’ve attached pics so you can see for yourself. Pancakes had black griddle debris on them (you should’ve seen the other side of the bottom one & eggs that were very obviously overcooked).
I’m not one to send food back BUT I also don’t want to pay for food I wasn’t about to eat. A young, presumably, cook came out with the recooked eggs & apologized saying he wasn’t in the kitchen at the time. After my pancake (I only returned one since I scraped the black off the other) came out the manager on duty apologized.
We were in on a Sunday evening and they weren’t busy. Perhaps the breakfast hours are better for food prep. ♀️ Service was friendly, staff was pleasant. But when I went to pay I couldn’t help noticing the trash on the payment counter SMH.

I would like to give a huge shout out to Jessica and Shawn as well as the cooks ! You guys were amazing.
Jessica was the only waitress working this evening and they got busy real quick. My first thought was I’ll be here all night waiting for my food.
That was not the case at all. Out of no where here comes the manager, Shawn and he was sitting people and waiting tables as well.
Neither of them missed a beat. They were both all smiles and friendly making sure that each table had what the needed. Everyone’s food came out nice and hot off the grill. Even the cooks were amazing.
I was really impressed by the team work and the leadership that Shawn exhibited.
He’s the kind of manager that all food establishments need, and Jessica is one amazing waitress. Her smile and friendly demeanor could turn anyone’s bad day into a good one !!

Stopped in for breakfast. Tori was my server. She was pleasant and prompt, kept my coffee full and delivered a delicious piping hot breakfast. The restaurant was clean, staff was friendly and the food was hot & delicious! I will be back!

We came here once and fell in love with the customer service. David is AMAZING! Because of him, we are now regulars. We love seeing him every time we come in he truly makes the experience special. He’s always on top of everything, very attentive, and makes sure our order is right every time. We weren’t big fans of Denny’s because of past experiences, but this location changed our minds thanks to David! 10/10 totally recommend this location. ✨

Haven’t been here in a while so we stopped in on Sunday. We could see how busy it was, but the hostess cleaned a table and sat us right away. The new ice coffees are amazing. The food was hot and the service was great, thanks Dennys. We will be back soon!
