Our waitress Linda was super sweet! She was extremely attentive and welcoming. The food came quick and was delicious. We never ran out of drinks and were seated in a timely manner. Definitely a good experience:)

There’s a VERY strong smell of black mold lingering through the restaurant and is very very strong.. upon moving to another booth thinking it would help we see damage on the walls and the mold smell is still present.. This is not healthy for anybody to be around. Especially people with compromised immunity. And children.. it really needs to be fixed fast. The food is usually good here, that’s not my complaint at all..

Ordered a steak with Uber Eats. It was horrible with a huge piece of gristle through the middle and the flavor was poor. The mash was clearly instant and made with far too much water (no milk or butter added) and terrible, so tasteless and runny. I didn’t receive the broccoli it was missing. Gravy also missing. The side salad of iceberg lettuce was soaked with water like they scooped it straight out of a tub of water, and completely tasteless. The salad was sitting in water in my container. The toast seemed to be spread with oil no butter taste at all just horrible. Ive never experienced such poor quality and tasteless food with shortcuts to save money. I used to be a regular diner at Dennys and they used to be great. What has happened??? The quality was shameful! Im so hungry and have to order another meal somewhere else as it was genuinely inedible.

I would have given 5 stars if there was no carpet in this restaurant. Come on Denny’s, get with the times! These workers can’t keep that carpet clean!
I am typing this on Christmas Day 2025.
It was extremely busy. We waited in line to be seated for quite some time, and we waited for over an hour for our food. We were warned at the door.
Remember, I said this was Christmas Day? We expected to be waiting! Nothing in this area is open today!
While we were in line, we heard that people had walked out… We saw people walk out. The waitresses were the hostesses… Same ones taking payments at the register. These folks were busting their butts!
One of the gals said that people were cussing and angry earlier! Like, what?
I don’t understand people. How would one not know that this is not a typical day?
When our food came, it was delicious, warm, and presentation was just like any other day. You can tell the cook still took pride in making our food, even though I’m sure the cook line was not fun!
Our waitress was over 60 years old and probably had to be there to pay her bills! She was wonderful…
Kudos to the entire staff at Denny’s in Morganton on Christmas Day!

I was greeted promptly and sat. They had 2 servers working at the time and both of them were friendly to me as well as all who where there. My order was taken and my food arrived exactly as I had ordered, my coffee never ran below half a cup. What I loved about coming here was not only the cleanliness and food but the service by the two servers there. It didn’t matter whose table you belonged to they both had a great spirit of teamwork about them.

Our waitress was lovely, I wish I remembered her name. Also our turkey dinner was fabulous. Our turkey dinner a couple months back was terrible and dry. This dinner was 20x better. And thank you for being open today. Denny’s, you completed our Christmas Day with a fine meal that we didn’t think we were going to get. ❤️

My husband and I stopped here on the way home to Waynesville and we both loved it! My husband said this was the best food he has had in a long time, and I agree! Telisha (the cook) made everything perfectly and Amber (who served us) was just the sweetest and so helpful. If we lived closer we would come all the time!

The cook? very disrespectful and demeaning to the waitress, first off horrible because the poor girl? all she wanted was a grilled cheese.
Our waitress was lovley, she was as sweet as a button, she did tell us that she was new at the job and still getting the hang of things so we dont have anything bad to say other then thank you, and im not mad we didnt get our toast.
I will highlight that we ordered a stack of pancakes and only reseved one singular pancake. I didn’t receive our toast and had to ask for it. the biscuits and gravy were lacking in tatse. I asked for chocolate chip panckakes. not for them to be thrown on top and served to me. I appreciate they put my eggs on a different plate for me like I requested.
overall, it wasn’t horrible, but it was inconvenient, I’d say. me and my family are very understanding of polite people, and we know that this would greatly bother other people.

Only three employees were working during our visit on New Year’s Eve at around 7:00 pm. 8 adults and 1 toddler in our party and EVERY SINGLE ORDER THAT WE PLACED was written down correctly by the server, but seriously botched by the cook. Ordered meals were ALL misplated, containing food from two or more different orders on each plate. Almost as if to say, “There is food on these plates, y’all figure out what goes on your plate and swap out food with each other until everyone has what they ordered!” After much food swapping around our table, we discovered my granddaughter only got her French Fries and didn’t receive her bacon or her toast. I didn’t get my toast either. My two eggs over medium came out less done than over easy. The yolks were just barely starting to set and the egg whites were still very translucent and raw, nowhere even close to white. We had to send for my granddaughter’s bacon and toast, which was brought out, but added onto the bill, again. The WORST Denny’s Restaurant experience in my entire life.
