My husband and I have been long term residents of New Smyrna Beach FL and have been to this Denny’s quite a few times to order take out! Each time we have been has been a great experience and the food was great! Well my husband and I decided to go back after not being there for over six months, and we definitely regret it! When we walked in there was a young lady at the front & I said we are ordering to go and asked her for a menu, we then waited about 3 minutes to order; and it was a mom and her daughter working the register- as the mom was (“training”) the daughter… We set down and waited about an hour before we received our food to go, as we are sitting there other customers are walking in with there family to have a meal & they were continously told that there is an hour and a half wait; when one customer asked well can I be seated and have a coffee while I wait?! She was told no! My husband and I received out food and went home LITERALLY NOT EVEN 2 MINUTES DOWN THE ROAD, we opened up our food and realized my pancakes were missing- because I ordered Pancakes, Bacon, Eggs, Grits & Hashbrowns… and my husband ordered The LumberJack Slam which comes with Pancakes, Ham, Sausage, Bacon, Eggs, and Hashbrowns… I was missing my Pancakes and the food was cold and the eggs were not cooked to our request, and the hashbrowns were hard! We spent 33.79$ on this meal and we are not happy at all!! I want to call Denny’s and speak to the manager to ask for my money back, but I am worried I won’t get treated correctly!? We will never go back to this Denny’s ever again and I just want my hard earned money back!!! I do not recommend this place what so ever, the bathroom was absolutely disgusting and had no soap or hand sanitizer as well… very sad that this location has fell apart so bad since we have been there!!! We had brunch here yesterday and overall it was a good experience. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the hashbrowns were crispy, and the coffee was strong and fresh. However, my chocolate and banana pancakes were a bit dry, and my boyfriend’s sausage links were also dry.
My boyfriend uses a wheelchair, and the restaurant was accessible. We were able to get inside and eat comfortably, which we really appreciated. The prices are great for the quality of food you get.
Our server was very kind and helpful, although the food took a little longer than usual to come out. Our table also wobbled a bit, which made eating slightly uncomfortable.
For the price and overall quality, I would definitely recommend this place. I paid under $30 before tip, and we will be back!

An amazing place, I vouche for their service, the way they handle theyres guests is superb. I am a Army veteran who travels by bike and shortly after I picked up my order from they’re location I was blindsided by a vehicle and all my food I was bring ing to my wife flew everywhere. I rode back and didnt even ask for a free meal but the wonderful host saw how upset I was and remade the entire order for free. It was a very nice experience I was supposed to do my review this past Friday the day after Thanksgiving. But our Waitress was great a young lady was a waitress as well her name is Tanya Daniels I mean I seen this young lady in the kitchen cookin, then I seen her just helping everybody it matters to have employees like that. I also heard that it was the manager in the back in the kitchen cooking by herself. In the young lady was helping her from my understanding the manager then go into a sickness and she just did chemo and radiation and she’s back on the job within 3 weeks. The young lady and the manager and the waitress they did their job about going above and beyond the manager is so strong and she’s a fighter. And my prayers go up for her and her family you guys are awesome you guys rock and thank you for the great service.

So the price was awesome, and the food we received was good, but there was quite the wait for the food. My dining partner was really pleased with the price and the quality of the food based on price. I hadn’t eaten at a Dennys in years. The staff was friendly. We were able to find parking for our truck and boat. The ratings were based on the time it took to get our food and some of what was on my plate was just warm by the time it was served.

This is a good location to eat late at night. They are really focused on improving their reputation and food quality. Had the lasagna and it was as good or better than most of the Italian restaurants in the area. Sadi gave us great service and was very friendly. Enjoyed our meal very much.

This is the best Denny’s I’ve ever been too..my late grandparents used to take me there when I was younger. I was just there..it’s really laid back, quiet and you feel at home hanging out with the staff,who are the nicest people… Plus the food has always been worth it!!
