I have been coming here for over a decade and the quality of the food has never waned even through multiple ownership changes. This time I ordered the spicy salmon and tuna sashimi (you MUST try this) and some toro nigiri. So fresh and always delicious.

So this was my 3rd or 4th time going there and after this experience it WILL BE THE LAST TIME I EVER EAT THERE. Myself and three others at the table. We loved the food and the atmosphere. Service was pretty quick as well. Our bill cumulatively was ~156 dollars.
I had a few questions about getting their deep fried rolls modified since I don’t eat shellfish.
When it came to pay I received the bill I was never informed that I’d be charged 8 dollars to have the rolls deep fried. I only realized as I was going through the bill. He never said anything to inform me.
Since I was making them go out of their way to have it fried, I did not mind the amount. Once I paid, the male server was EXTREMELY CONDESCENDING after realizing we did not tip. He mentioned that tipping was mandatory in all restaurants including this one.
As a person who has worked in hospitality for several years I informed him that it was not MANDATORY to tip- it is based on the person’s willingness to do so and if it is that their business demands that you tip:
1) you mention/ encourage this fact to individuals prior to paying the bill OR
2) implement it as a gratuity depending on the size of the table-in our case 4 people
When I mentioned this to him he was very sassy.l and giving me a stank face
There was nothing amazing about the service —- it was “regular degular”.
The older lady who I got service the previous times was better with her service
Do BETTER!! And shame on this restaurant
At the end my friends handed him a twenty dollar to add to the bill and he just assumed we tipped the full $20 bill and just left.
To be honest this ruined my day. Genuinely so we left paying 175 dollars after that horrendous service

Just had the most delicious meal at Denji! The service was incredibly fast and attentive and the food was beautifully plated. Cozy and calm atmosphere, perfect for a laid back dining experience. Best sushi in Surrey!

I visited this place for lunch after a round of golf today, and I was really impressed by the food quality for the price! The presentation of the rolls was fantastic! The staff were so friendly, making it a very pleasant dining experience. I wish I could have left a bigger tip, so I’m leaving this review as a token of appreciation! I’ll definitely come back when I’m in Surrey!

I appreciate a good service , clean place and nice waitress. Also I like you could make an order via special device on every table . It is very convenient. However, I put 4 for food because it was not “wow” . Probably I was wrong with my menu, but what I had- was on the average level . As a mentioned above it is not a “ I would definitely recommend and come again”. I wish the place good luck

We eat here often and like the food a lot. The restaurant employees / owners are very nice and this is our go-to sushi place. The variety of rolls, the freshness and quality overall is great. However, we often wait longer than the quoted pick up time. Yes the food is fresh but they definitely over promise & under deliver on timing. On Valentine’s day we were told 50 minutes for pick up (totally fine) and then waited 45 additional minutes in the restaurant. Along with numerous other people. I would have preferred to know the actual wait time so I could have waited at home. Pretty disappointed.

First time at this restaurant and we both greatly enjoyed the friendly service and tasty food. Staff was ever ready to help us out with the menu and was attentive to anything we needed during our visit. Had the creamy prawn, prawn tempura, salmon bomb and golden. roll. Everything tasted really good and we are regular sushi eaters. Thank you for the tasty meal Denji Sushi!

Went here for dinner last night and the food was so yummy!! the assorted sashimi platter was plated beautifully and the fish was fresh!! the rolls were also delicious, the clayton roll and crunch gogo roll were my favorites!! if you ever crave sushi, you should definitely check this place out!!:)
