Staff made me feel like family! Pizza is amazing. Don’t overcomplicate it. The 9.0 cheese pizza is where it’s at. Wife gave it a 9.3… in my book it’s a 9.1, but it’s the best pizza I’ve had yet in the city. Leaving room in my rankings in case we find better..

We decided to give Denino’s Greenwich Village a try after about 5 yrs being away from NYC.
As a Brooklyn, NY native living outside of NY I have become extremely hard to please when it comes to having pizza. Having now tried Denino’s Greenwich Village, Aberdeen NJ, and of course Staten Island ( the institution) I can say this is one of the cities best pies. I used to live on SI for 10 years so Denino’s was a staple and continues to be a great family restaurant that serves amazing pizza and Italian food. We then moved to NJ and would sometimes visit their Aberdeen location. Finally fast forward to 2025 and this was my first time ever going to their NYC location which I was long overdue for. I was blown away at the same great quality which sometimes doesn’t carry over to other locations when an OG pizzeria has multiple locations. We started off with the meatballs appetizer and it was one of the best we’ve ever tried. The clam and OG pizza were excellent and ate super lite with a great crisp and crunch. Can’t wait to go back again in the near future. If you’re on the fence about trying the clam pie OMG don’t be. It’s incredible and not that many places can perfect it like this. The only other places that come to mind are Lee’s tavern in SI, and Frank Pepe’s in New Haven.

Stopped in without a reservation. Able to be seated even though they were busy.
Thursday night Martini special.
Service and food were excellent. Only complaint was it was incredibly loud. It was hard to carry on a conversation.

Wonderful spot in the middle of NYC! I had the shimp pasta and it was amazing! I haven’t had such savory tasting fresh shrimp like this in many years. So delicious! The waitstaff were attentive, polite and fast with their service. I would’ve preferred them to serve bread upon being seated and the music was a bit out of place (they played modern pop hits whereas they would provide THE PERFECT atmosphere with classical Italian favorites), however, this does not take anything away from my 5 stars. I will be back and I will certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a cozy spot in NYC.

The west village location of a Staten Island pizzaria know for their clam pies. The happy hour items were great. Good pasta and pizza is worthy of the reputation. Dining area was open to the street, a bit noisy.

Good food and generous portions. The eggplant parmigiana and orecchiette had a great tomato sauce. The pizza was thin crust and cooked crispy. Wine was a bit pricey.

There are inside and outside tables. Great people watching as you dine.

Our server was friendly and the service was good. Obviously no parking on MacDougal but garages nearby. The W4th subway was about a 5 minute walk.

I would definitely dine here again.

After going to a disappointing party at a spot in the Village, I went to Denino’s and had a delicious whole pie and wine on a Friday night and watched St. John’s upset Uconn at the Bar. A very nice and quaint place! I really liked the pizza and atmosphere.

Warm, loud atmosphere. Great on a rainy evening. Portions are huge so plan on sharing. My husband and I couldn’t finish our “Garbage” pizza.
