10/10 all around. We sat at the bar first and then popped upstairs for a table. Ask for Jay if you want an extra special experience. Been looking for good Italian in GVL and now we’ve found it! Just wish I could order this for delivery when I’m stuck home working at night.
The only thing we needed was salt. But we are all big salt people so don’t hold it against them!! From the service to the atmosphere and the most important, cocktails and food… I don’t think we could have changed anything. We all got an appetizer and entree and just shared every plate. It was the best Italian we’ve had in 9 years. The pizzas are not basic in any way either. What a treat!

DeMarco’s Italian Restaurant in Greenville is an absolute gem. Our server, Crystal, was phenomenal — attentive, friendly, and made sure every detail of our meal was perfect from start to finish. The food was outstanding, full of classic Italian flavor and clearly made with care. What truly makes DeMarco’s special, though, is the “schmoozer” — the elder gentleman who floats from table to table and is truly the heart and soul of the restaurant. His warmth, charm, and genuine hospitality create an atmosphere that feels welcoming, personal, and timeless. Experiences like this are why DeMarco’s remains a favorite. Highly recommend.

We were definitely surprised at our visit. This Italian restaurant reminded me of New York Italian food. Soon was our waitress and was top notch! The atmosphere was perfect for our date night gateway. Very classy place and service was incredible. We ordered the crab and squid pasta but without hot peppers. The manager came o er to verify what is our spice tolerance. He communicated with us even without the hot peppers that it still has some heat. He worked with us and the chef to accommodate our requirements and this made our experience great, the dish was perfect. The Oysters were to the point great. Not overpowered with melted cheese or anything overwhelming. The lobster pasta was really delicious. Not too much sauce and it wasn’t too creamy, just right. Our plates were $50 each but we wanted top notch and that’s exactly what we got in our visit. The Brulee cheesecake was light and fluffy, the diced apple was a nice touch. Solid dessert option. The alcoholic drinks were made to perfection. Their twist to an old fashioned drink gave it some sweetness but it was still an old fashioned drink. Great place for really good Italian food. The owners of the Slice opened this place up and didn’t let us down.

My boyfriend and I absolutely love this restaurant! The food is always amazing and flavorful. The Valentine’s menu was well crafted as well! I can’t recommend this place enough. Our server Garin was great, he did an amazing job describing the menu. We will definitely be returning.

Its a great place to have a good night.
The place is beautiful and the personnel has an authentic interest on having you well attended.
The food is perfect, precisely seasoned, good size of portion, perfect temperature and a nice timing between dishes.
They also have a good selection of drinks including some nice wines that will accompany you into this great experience.

DeMarco’s is easily one of the best Italian restaurants around. From start to finish, our experience tonight was exceptional. We started with the Oysters Rockefeller and the stuffed Italian long hot peppers — both bursting with flavor. The tuna, steak, and pasta dishes were all cooked perfectly, and every cocktail we tried was crafted beautifully.

Our server, Jay, went above and beyond to make sure everything was phenomenal — attentive, friendly, and clearly passionate about the guest experience. For dessert, the fresh tiramisu and Italian donuts were the perfect ending to an amazing meal.

Every visit here is consistently excellent, but tonight truly stood out. Highly recommend DeMarco’s for anyone who loves authentic Italian food, great service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Five stars all the way.

This was truly one of the best dining experiences I had. Our waitress was phenomenal, had amazing knowledge of the menu, and made great recommendations. We came in for my birthday and everyone took the time to notice. The vodka pasta was truly the best I’ve had. The spicy vodka pizza was delicious too! Definitely start out with the meatball too! It fed me and my two friends perfectly as a starter,
Also please try the tiramisu martini. Best desert bar drink I’ve had.
Could not recommend more and I cannot wait to go back

De Marcos has a beautiful ambience, but I wouldn’t consider it an Italian restaurant. The drinks were unique and well done, but the menu doesn’t match the name. There are only a few pasta options, none with sausage and no you can’t request sausage
even though sausage is served on their pizza and in a wood-fired signature dish. When we asked about a pasta with meat (other than seafood, since my partner has a seafood allergy), the server recommended the chicken Genovese (a chicken cutlet with pesto, green beans, tomato, and parmigiano)… Service was okay to say the least.

That said, I did find a couple of favorites: the hanger steak was perfectly cooked, lightly seasoned, and great quality, while the stuffed long peppers with sausage were spicy and flavorful (a perfect combo for a spice lover like me, though maybe too spicy for others).

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend De Marcos if you’re looking for true Italian food. As a Greenville native, I can say we have much better authentic Italian options in town.

What a fantastic place. The food was definitely 5 stars and our waitress Emma was the sweetest. Got the eggplant Parmesan, oysters, lasagna verde, salad, and vodka pasta. All were 5 stars – they made everything in house and it really shows. Would highly recommend!

Update—we ate here again and I got the lasagna and my mom got the chopped Italian salad and a pizza. All 3 dishes were incredible. We ate again for restaurant week and selected the same dishes but I got the arancini appetizer and a peach compote olive oil cake for dessert. We had excellent service and a seamless experience so we were able to fully enjoy our dinner.

Prior review of 4 stars—I accidentally made my reservation for the wrong evening. So when we arrived, the hosts weren’t able to find my name. That’s fine but they kept asking me if my name was a variety of other people with reservations at different times. They also said there was only one reservation at 630. So I think it would have made more sense to just seat us instead of awkwardly asking if I’d made my reservation under random names.
The spot was modern and I liked being able to see the wood fire ovens. The restaurant has 2 levels but it’s very open inside.
The menu looked great so it was hard to decide. I finally picked the scallops. My mom ordered the spicy vodka pasta but asked for it to be very mild. When her meal arrived, it was definitely not mild. I like spicy foods and tasted it and found it to have quite a kick. Our server had them remake it and the second version was perfect and delicious. My scallops were cooked perfectly. We were too full for dessert since we’d shared some focaccia bread before the meal but maybe next time!
