LOVE IT!!! Adorable classic diner with incredible food in the middle of the Wisconsin North woods. I couldn’t believe how good the food is, everything top quality and done just right. Real deal Norwegian pancakes with a pool of butter on top and the BEST maple syrup. Hash browns so crispy and perfect you could cry. French toast stuffed with marscapone! Delicious coffee! Homemade sauces! Jerk chicken omelette was fab, their bacon is thick cut, nothing is ordinary everything extraordinary. Value for quality is excellent and they don’t even accept tips You will definitely have to wait to be seated, but you won’t be sorry you did. Worth the drive and then some ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

You don’t tip here! The price of the food maybe a little more than what you are used to but it is definitely worth it! Food is amazing! And way too much of it! Loved their sauces (meant to buy some for home and I forgot!)Everyone seems to really like their job, service is awesome! There may be a little bit of a wait if you bring people with you but I ate solo and got in in no time at all! Gorgeous views driving here. Usually food doesn’t make my lists of places to go but I’m grateful it did this time!

Loved eating at Delta Diner! Cute little diner that gets busy. Glad we were able to get in. Atmosphere is amazing, everyone who goes will love it. Our server was incredible, knew the menu really well. I had the PBLT which is a Perch, Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato. It was soooo good. The fries were also very crispy. Delicious meal. Highly recommend!!

Delta Diner is one of the most unique and enjoyable diner experiences I have encountered. Tucked away in the Northern woods of Wisconsin, the diner rests rather unassuming along the roadway, the only indicator of it’s potential the full parking lot with eager customers waiting in their vehicles for their chance to partake of the delicious food inside.

Once a spot has been secured, the experience whips to life, starting with a tour of the seasonal menu filled with creative, one-of-a-kind dishes, most of which revolving around breakfast.

The prices seem a bit high at first glance, but tips are not accepted and for the quality of the food, the cost is reasonable.

The array of options can stump an undecided first-timer, so it may be advisable to bring a friend or two and split dishes to maximize your ability to try the different options.

Given the small space, the smells, sounds, and even sights of the meal being prepared are prevalent, each adding to the anticipation in their own way.

Local ingredients, including local coffee, help to ground you in the area, and the service is superb.

Make sure you try the homemade hot sauces; though they won’t really leave you burning, they all have their own flavor profiles and compliment the different dishes in their own way.

Definitely stop here if you get a chance. Worth it .

The Delta Diner was very busy when we stopped on Saturday around noon – probably the busiest they could get. We were quoted a 45 minute wait, but only ended up actually waiting about 15 minutes. There’s a coffee shack next door, so we had coffees in hand and didn’t mind the wait. Service is speedy and the menu is somehow both very in-depth and complete and very small. We ordered the Blue Plate (special) Dutch Baby with lemon curd and strawberries plus side of bacon, and the mascarpone stuffed French toast. It’s no frills, but also gourmet. The prices at first glance seem a little steep, but it’s also a no-tipping establishment, which evened it out. The two meals and coffee was about $32. Everything was delicious and the service was great. My only real complaint is that the space is small with an open kitchen, so it is loud. Doesn’t bother me, but something to consider. Either way, we’ll definitely be back.

We went to lunch here on a whim when we were driving out of Ashland. It was a half hour drive, but definitely worth the trip! We were lucky and got in right away(it can be quite a wait, we have heard). The menu is on the board above the counter, but the server came and went through the whole thing, explaining all of the dishes (it was our first time there), which was very helpful as everything looks super simple, but there are wonderful surprises waiting!
My wife got the almond crusted walleye sandwich and really loved it. I got the stuffed hash browns, which had tasty pulled pork in it, and it was great. My sister-in-law got the Norwegian pancakes with jalapeno in them, and she said they were amazing(and now she wants to try making them at home). My brother-in-law got the PBLT (perch bacon lettuce and tomato), and was impressed with how great it was. We all commented that we wished we lived closer so we could get back often to try all of the menu. Oh, and I forgot about the excellent chocolate malt that I had; it always makes me so happy when it is so malty flavored!!

We moved to the region last summer and we have been exploring the area looking for great food. Our search may be over, as we had one of the meals we ever had. We shared the stuffed blueberry mascarpone french toast and the Mexican Benny – both were out of this world and the sweet & spicy combination was perfect. We had a short wait at 11:30 on a Saturday in May, and I’m a huge fan of their no-tip policy. The prices reflect that they pay living wages to their employees, but the fantastic service and excellent food are worth every penny! I’m glad they are less than an hour away for us as we’ll be frequent visitors.

Updated – visted again today – every but as good as our first trip but remembered to take pictures! I dream about Pedro’s Mexican Benne, it is so very delicious

Delicious food with impressively friendly wait staff who speak succinctly and have the superhuman ability of reciting the menu with great detail from memory.

The diner is well kept and the seating area is pristinely clean despite the vintage decor.

The diner pays its staff livable wages and doesn’t expect customer tips!

Classic style diner that’s tucked away on a beautiful back road. Great atmosphere there. Food was great. Prices were very good. I had dessert and breakfast. Customer service was even better. I will be going back again for sure! Highly recommended to anyone. I even snagged some mugs as souvenirs as well. It’s definitely worth the drive.

Truly the best thing in the north woods of Wisconsin. Every menu option is delicious and the daily specials are above and beyond delicious. While breakfast is their main game the burgers and jerk chicken are also fantastic. Worth a trip just to eat here.
