I loved this place, took my dessert to go given I was so full! One of the best Lobster rolls had in a while, order it with shrimp on the side (chef’s kiss). I got there 30 minutes before closing and staff was still great. Sweet Potatoes are so yummy, I know I know, I love them, I can’t help it. Didn’t try the steak, but I know they are good when everything else is pleasing to the palate.

My wife and I had dinner here and we both agree the service we had was absolutely wonderful! Our server Nichole went above and beyond to ensure we had a great dining experience. She was personable, friendly, and answered all of our questions regarding items on the menu. We especially enjoyed the conversation we had with Nicole after dinner. The food was exceptional as well. This is the first time I had bison and it was so tender and flavorful. My wife had the prime rib and it too was delicious. We also had onion soup, Cesar salad, mixed veggies, sweet potatoes, French fries and crème brûlée for dessert, all of which were delicious too. The portions for our sides were on the larger size so you won’t leave hungry. We are from out of town, but if we lived in Rapid City we would certainly return again and again! Thank you again Nichole for your fabulous service! 🙂

My hotel was just 3mins walk to this restaurant so I decided to try it. I booked a reservation online, walked in, and a big smile from the receptionist right in front of the restaurant. She checked me in, asked me to wait in waiting area while they set up a booth ready for me. I waited less than 5mins to get my table. I was worried about the food would be too salty like the other places but the server was nice and explained to me which option is salty and which is not. I ordered medium rare Wet Aged Ribeye with asparagus and baked potatoes. It was delicious. The meat was juicy, tender, and not salty. It came out hot with exact how medium rare that I wanted. I had to wait a bit long for my food came out but it was worth for the wait. The restaurant wasn’t too noisy and has a lot tables which good for big group as well. I actually found a fly during my dinner. It was flying around my food. I think the owner should do something with that problem since they seem like an upscale restaurant. They have paid parking in front of the restaurant.

We had dinner at Delmonico Grill in Rapid City and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. There were three of us in our party, and we started with the Caesar and wedge salads — both were fresh, crisp, and dressed perfectly with great flavor.
For the main course, two of us ordered the sirloin while the third had the filet mignon. Each steak was cooked exactly to order — tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The kitchen clearly knows how to handle a good cut of meat.
Service was attentive and friendly without being intrusive, and the overall atmosphere was comfortable, classy, and relaxed — the kind of place where you can enjoy a great meal and good conversation.
Highly recommend Delmonico Grill for anyone looking for an excellent steakhouse experience in Rapid City.

This is a high end steakhouse. It’s really hard to find a better steak anywhere. If you miss the French Onion Soup, no worries, it’s common at best, but you aren’t there for the soup. The bourbon mashed sweet potatoes are extraordinary. Don’t miss that side. And the crabcakes are way better than you’d expect outside a high end seafood place on a coast.

Exceptional Dining Experience Close to Our Hotel
We stayed at a nearby hotel and, feeling too tired to drive anywhere for dinner, decided to give this restaurant a try. We were so pleased with our meal the first night that we returned the next evening as well.
This is a very casual place with excellent service. The restaurant is surrounded by fields with cows, and they mention using local meat, which seems quite likely given the quality. While I’m not a steak expert, I can confidently say that their steaks (we tried different ones on both visits) were among the best I’ve ever had—on par with some of the great steaks I’ve enjoyed at 5-star restaurants in Las Vegas and New York.
The soups, sides, and appetizers were all fantastic too. My only minor gripe is that I’m not a big fan of salads served with whole lettuce leaves. It’s a trend I’ve noticed, but I would have preferred if the romaine in my Caesar salad had been chopped.
If you’re looking for a comfortable dining experience with truly excellent steaks, I highly recommend this place.

It was about 3 pm on a Friday afternoon. I was looking for an upscale place to have a relaxing lunch. Most restaurants are closed at this time. I found Delmonico’s and it was great. I had the wedge salad and a nice glass of cab franc. So nice.

My wife and I had dinner here for our anniversery…we couldn’t have picked a more perfect spot! Delmonico Grill offers an excellent fine dinning experience in the Black Hills area. The servers stayed on top of everything and the food was incredibly delicious. We definately plan on visiting again for future special occasions.
