Real good but not perfect. I used to pound this place in undergrad and came back to feel that magic again. Didnt quite have it. Beef was maybe a bit too lean. Not totally killer but enough to make you think “man this could be juicier”

I think this is one of the best smash burgers in Ontario. It’s certainly one of my favorites.
The product is always fresh, properly smashed without being beaten to death. Always willing to be accommodating. The fries are also Housemade and great. Onion rings are incredibly solid too, and even their veggie offering, which is sort of a riff on Shake shack’s portobello burger, is fantastic!
My only criticism is that management doesn’t seem to support the staff enough. I asked why there was no tipping option on the POS system and staff said their manager told them it would cost extra money – that’s absolute BS, having worked in restaurants for 10 years I’ve never heard that and never had an issue with a POS system, adding a tip option. Even if you were ringing through credit sales that included a tip, you would still only lose one percent, which is simply the cost of doing business.
They also had their cash box stolen, so they were no longer accepting cash as payment, which makes it increasingly difficult to tip the staff. That’s reasonable for a day or two, but it’s now been over a week… plenty of time to make the necessary repairs and get a new cash box.
There is also a fountain soda machine that has been “out of order” since they opened, and after asking a little bit, I found out that it was an old machine that had simply been left there with no intention of ever hooking it up .
This is one of the best burgers in the golden horseshoe but the restaurant itself needs to be somewhat better managed. If they need some changes, such as management worrying about the small details, and supporting their staff a bit more, they could be one of the best burger shops in the Ontario, not just a good burger shop with an excellent product.

Food, service and prices are all great. Dining area inside and outside were clean. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a smash burger.

4.5 stars for me. Burger atmosphere and staff are great. And it’s great value for your dollar. Just wish there were a few more options. Not like 70 different items like some of the chain restaurants. They do what they do great. Just a few more options would be nice. Aside from that I could eat 5 more

My Goodness…. Hands down the very best burger I’ve ever had the pleasure to stuff in my face! Bonus points for the sautéed jalapeños and cooked to perfection fries. I can’t wait to give them my money again as I proudly show off this establishment to my family and friends. Bottom line if you haven’t tried them yet get your arse in gear and head on over you don’t have to thank me for the tip but be sure to leave them one!

This place almost brings me to tears because I feel like it has so much missed potential. First of all loving the simple menu with reasonable prices and portions. But sadly I feel like the patty itself is lacking in flavor. It’s like comparing a steak without salt and pepper to one with. Night and day difference. They should experiment with salt, pepper, garlic and cayenne powder ratios to get the best tasting patty. I had to put extra ketchup on my burger after ordering all the toppings because no offence it kind of tasted bland. I hope management sees this and considers the importance in getting a burger spiced to perfection.

The burgers taste better than they look. The meat is a bit too salty but cooked well. They could use a better bun. If they put their burgers on brioche buns they would up their burger huge , the toppings were fresh and well proportioned and the bacon was crispy. The cheese was below average and the fries were average. The young lady at the till was very friendly and professional.

I agree with another review that I saw, saying that they used to eat here during their undergrad. I used to love this place during our undergrad, I came back after 2 years and the place has lost its charm. Bread is plain now and the ingredient quality went down (whiter tomatoes, jalapenos no longer fried). The atmosphere is drab and lacks personality now, especially compared to the old style. Still a good burger overall, but not what it used to be.

I ordered double bacon cheese burger with fries and a single cheese burger, the double was amazing! What an excellent burger! Great job! My 8 year old daughter had the single and she ate the whole thing which she usually only eat a half burger ,she said it was great as well
