Awesome new restaurant in Durham! My wife and I went in less than a week after they opened and we will definitely be going back. I had the chicken cooked under a brick and the flavor was unreal…so savory and the potato thing with it was SO crispy. My wife had the risotto and ate the entire thing it was so good. We also have the deviled egg app and would absolutely order that again. All in all the food blew me away.
The decor of this place is also fantastic. They did a phenomenal job with the look and atmosphere. Service was good too.
Durham has a lot of great restaurants and this place is here to compete!

A new restaurant from the folks at Hutchins Pizza, Delancey Tavern offers a more upscale setting for an affordable menu of apps, sandwiches and entrees. Lovely bar in the back along with a lounge on the 2nd floor landing above. Definitely worth a visit and conveniently located at the top of Riggsbee Street!

Attentive, cheerful service, wonderful food and balanced cocktails. The deviled egg dip was a surprising delight and Durham finally has a spot with a dessert list not overwhelming all about chocolate. The sticky toffee pudding was perfect.
I’m so happy that an inclusive, welcoming spot has opened up in this beautiful location. Get there soon before the secret is out.

The food is amazing and worth the prices. You’ll be hard pressed to find a better meal for this amount of money in Durham

Food was excellent – it fills a void in Durham’s dining landscape. Stunner of a room with attentive service. Go now because you’re only going to have to wait longer and longer for a table the longer you wait to go and try this new gem in Durham’s crown. Also, check out the lounge upstairs. It’s among the sexier spaces in Durham.

Ordered the steak frittes medium rare this evening. Finished about a third of the steak, very fatty even for a ribeye and then when I cut into the body of the steak it was more well done than MR. I don’t like to send stuff back so I finished the fries and waited for the server to ask why I hadn’t finished the steak. She stared directly at it, twice, and didn’t say a word. Quite honestly, the steak that I did eat wasn’t nice and gave me a sour stomach. I finally spoke up, showed it to her and she agreed. Then her comment was “well I wish you would have said something sooner”. I got the bill, full price. I told the server I was surprised that the steak hadn’t been taken off, or even partially discounted. She said that was the manager’s decision. No compensation, no apology, no visit by the manager. Total bill was $80, before tip. My wife’s food was good, the tavern burger, albeit greasy. The wine we both had was also nice. I don’t think we’ll come back any time soon. Disappointed as we had been looking forward to trying out this restaurant.
