Food was good, used a coupon, so that was a plus.
The workers were a bit stressed, which is understandable.
I am writing this review with a heavy heart after a truly disheartening experience at Del Taco. From the moment I walked in, I felt invisible. The store manager greeted me but then completely ignored my presence. I stood there for what felt like an eternity—two long minutes—before a team member had to intervene and call the manager on duty.
When I finally had a chance to express my concerns to Manager Rudy, I was met with rudeness and hostility. He came across as someone who might have a troubled past, with explicit tattoos displayed prominently on his arms. His aggressive demeanor made it feel as if he was dealing with people in gangs rather than a customer seeking help. Instead of feeling valued, I felt rushed and intimidated, as if my concerns were a burden. The way he treated me was not just unprofessional; it was deeply upsetting.
To make matters worse, the food quality was appalling. It was undercooked and poorly portioned, leaving me not only dissatisfied but also questioning the care that goes into preparing meals for customers. The manager on duty was dismissive and showed no willingness to make things right or offer even a sincere apology. This lack of empathy and respect has left a bitter taste in my mouth—one that goes beyond just the food.
While I did eventually speak with the regional manager, who genuinely apologized and offered a free meal on my next visit, the damage has already been done. This experience has shattered my trust in Del Taco, and I am left feeling disappointed and disillusioned. I never expected to feel this way about a place I once enjoyed, and I am truly upset that management failed to uphold basic standards of customer service and quality.
