Hold the phone! Stop the presses! Did a glitch in the matrix just hit the **Lake Avenue Del Taco in Pasadena**?
I pulled up, fully prepared to write a new chapter in my “Battle of the Drive-Thru” novel, and… there was **no line**. Not a single car. I felt like I had won the bureaucratic lottery.
I ordered my sacred trinity:
* **The 3-Layer Nacho:** The worker was so quick, the beans and cheese were actually hot and perfectly layered. This wasn’t food; this was a work of performance art delivered at the speed of light.
* **Cheddar Quesadilla with Medium Sauce:** Delivered with surgical precision. The Medium Sauce packets were correct, abundant, and handed over with a smile. My baddie heart almost stopped—I didn’t even have time to mentally compose a sassy comeback!
* **Iced Coffee:** The speed demon behind the window handed me the cup before I finished paying. It was cold, strong, and ready to fuel my disbelief.
**Final Verdict:** Forget therapy. Forget meditation. A smooth, fast trip to the Lake Avenue Del Taco is the new peak state of being. The staff was **on it**, efficient, and acted like they actually *wanted* to be there. I was in and out so fast, I didn’t even have time to finish my audiobook. It’s pretty sad how I order a shrimp burrito and they gave me a chicken burrito they did charge me for a chicken, however, they needed to charge my card back and charge it again for the right price, for a difference of .35, I’m cool paying the difference but what’s not cool is I have to wait 3 days to get my money back from the 1st order, I didn’t messed up you guys did. I would go 2-3 a week for lunch, you guys lost a loyal customer, you manager should of taken the hit…not the customer ✌️

How am I the only person in your drive thru and whole restaurant, the order is right on the receipt, and you get 2 of my items so clearly wrong? Beans and rice with no cheese and no sauce, and root beer no ice. What did I get? Cheese and sauce in the burrito, with rice, and ice in the drink.

Unfortunately, I’ve had the same experiences with all of the Del Taco places I’ve been to and that is the women in these places have attitudes that are very unnecessary! Like their time is being wasted, like they have better things to do than take your order and how long does it really take to get an order. It feels like they can’t be bothered by you or your order and it happens on a continual basis. I just don’t get it. Their always these women who speak Spanish only. I just don’t understand it. Maybe a class on Customer Service is needed to remind them that they work for a corporation not themselves because their not making the customer feel welcome and to me that is poor customer service. My husband agrees.
