Staff is friendly and cool people but $3 for this???? “Street” taco made for ants! $3 for THIS!!! And I KNOW this is coming from the top, not a worker mistake. You’re dogging your customers with this . DO NOT order the “street” taco. Again, workers are professional, quick and nice.

I don’t normally review fast food places because what’s the point (it’s fast food, after all), but ever since the re-open, I’ve been really happy with Del Taco. I’ve visited this location and the one near Austin Bluffs & Academy a few times recently when pressed for time, and both have been consistently better than in the past. It’s hard to describe, but the food just tastes… different, in a good way. Like ingredients or cooking methods or something got tweaked. I did notice they added screens for ordering at the front counter (at least at the location I’m reviewing), but that’s normal these days and frankly doesn’t bother me. I find it more efficient. If you’re tired of Wendy’s, McDonald’s, Arby’s, etc., I’d recommend it.

Del taco is my go to fast food. I dont like taco bell. I’m in love with their bean and cheese with extra red sauce. I dont eat much meat from any fast food place. But if I’m having a hard day or just hungry I want my del taco! I could eat this 5x a week haha. Also so filling and so cheap. I’ll spend like $3.50 on my burrito and thats 2 meals for me. Love it.

First off they had nothing we wanted so we changed our order to accommodate their lack of items. Food was absolutely disgusting and old. Waited 15 minutes in the drive thru to be given cold and reheated food. Took the order back inside and asked for a refund as it was inedible. Both quesadillas weren’t cut and had filling only in the direct center. All the meat in everything was chewy and cold. The soft tacos looked like a toddler was making them. Not a single item was even remotely appealing. Even the sodas were nasty because there was no flavoring basically dark soda water. The lady working was extremely rude and unprofessional.she Had terrible hygiene and has no business working in a restaurant. I definitely didn’t want to eat the food after seeing who prepared it looked like they had just rolled out of bed and was wearing dirty clothes. I asked to speak with management politely and was immediately met with a terrible snarky attitude. She claimed that there was no manager and that she didn’t know how to issue a refund. Claimed they were overwhelmed with how busy it was….there was two customers in the drive thru and everyone inside had already eaten and were just sitting there talking. They were far from busy and had no excuse for the terrible food, the disgusting state of the restaurant,and the terrible attitude. Will be contacting management and possibly corporate.

I would urge management to check the freshness of your large hard taco shells. I ordered five hard tacos and when I got home to eat them they had a funny taste. I ate two of them and found the taste off on both. I took the third out and scraped the filling out of it and placed it into some hard taco shells I had in my pantry. With these shells the tacos tasted right. So I am sure it is the freshness or something with the taco shells I got from Del Taco. I hope my next visit I will be able to get the Del Taco tacos I know and love

I had accidentally placed an order at another location that had an almost identical address to this one. I joined the drive thru line and after waiting a long time I finally got to the speaker and let them know that I had a mobile order. They told me that they didn’t see my name in the system and told me I was probably at the wrong location. They didn’t even ask what was in my order or offer to make my order at this location. I was stuck in the drive thru behind someone else for at least 15 minutes and this was happening during my work break.

When ordering a soft corn tortilla on a Taco to replace a hard corn tortilla, they charge $0.70 extra. This is outrageous to charge to replace a shell when the only difference is hard versus soft. Beware of what you’re being billed when you go to Del Taco!

October 25, 2025…Saturday evening, and ENTIRELY HAPPY that Del Taco is back in town…and VERY FINANCIALLY HEALTHY…and this store, on far N. Academy Blvd and nearby Kelly Johnson Blvd is my fave..grabbed one of my signature bean & cheese burritos with EXTRA EXTRA GREEN SAUCE, and two Del Taco tacos…SUPERB! I Have heard so many people are VERY glad to see Del Taco back and personally, I think they’re going to give next door Chick-fil-A some competition even though we’re talking apples and oranges but I’ll be back to see my fave Del Taco! I was expecting more of a Taco Bell but was surprised. Little expensive at $27 for 2 people for fast food but the quality of the beef and chicken were very good. The cream cheese bites were good as well as the doughnuts.
