We went to Del Frisco’s on Valentine’s Day, and it turned into a night we’ll never forget — because I proposed to my girlfriend there! Huge shoutout to our waiter, Joshua, who played a big part in making the night perfect.

Even though we were about five minutes late for our reservation, they seated us promptly. The atmosphere was amazing — upscale, romantic, and perfect for a special occasion. You could feel the Valentine’s Day energy, but everything still felt smooth and well organized.

The service? Even better than the atmosphere. Joshua recommended excellent drinks and absolutely nailed the food suggestions.

I ordered the lamb chops, and she got the dry-aged NY strip steak — chef’s kiss . Every bite was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor.

The sides are large and definitely shareable. We ordered:
• Creamed corn (OMG )
• Broccolini
• Hand-mashed potatoes

Everything was seasoned beautifully. Not one bad bite the entire night.

And PLEASE try the honey butter bread. The only tiny disappointment of the evening? After they boxed up our leftovers, they forgot to pack our extra bread ‍♂️ ‍♂️ ‍♂️ ‍♂️. But honestly, that’s a small thing compared to how incredible everything else was.

We ended the night with the famous warm butter cake — because it was a special occasion, duh. Absolute perfection.

Yes, it’s a little pricey. But for the quality, service, and unforgettable experience? Worth every penny.

All I can say is 7 out of 5 stars.
Now I’m off to work so I can stack up some more money to come back again .

Thank you, Del Frisco’s, and especially Joshua, for helping make one of the biggest nights of my life absolutely perfect.

Had a vendor get a private room for a Christmas celebration back in December & was able see everything Del Frisco’s had to offer. Fast forward to Valentine’s Day I decided to book my fiancé & I a spot for two, here are my thoughts on this most recent trip:

Staff & Ambiance: top down the service is exceptional from the moment you walk in. Coat service with tags, staff is friendly & you can tell wants to be there. The facility is beautiful & everything screams “elegance & excellence”. Not sure if they do this every night, but both of my trips they had wonderful live music which was a nice touch.
Our waiter David was a standout. Very knowledgeable of the products, never had to wait on anything & would casually fold our napkins into origami while chatting with us.

The seafood, steaks & wine are their trademarks although everything is fantastic. Not sure where they source their food from but you can tell it’s curated to exceed customer expectations. We had a 3 course meal with cocktails & it was all delicious.

Cons:
1. Our seat: we were at a small table smacked between two other couples which was not super comfortable considering it was a 2+ hour experience. Signed up for their rewards program & looks like they have priority seating for members which will definitely help going forward.
2. Price: This is not a casual weekend date night for most. After tip we were around $420 for two people. This place is definitely the spot for anniversaries & other special occasions with a couple/ small group.

Overall, I was thoroughly impressed on both occasions. I’d consider this one of the best dining experiences in the Indianapolis area & if you haven’t gone, you should.

I had the pleasure of dining at Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse for Valentine’s Day, and it was truly an amazing experience from start to finish.

The food was exceptional honestly beyond what I usually expect when eating out. Everything was seasoned perfectly, and you could really taste the quality in every bite. Even as leftovers the next day, the food was still just as flavorful, which says a lot. The portions were also very generous, so we definitely got great value and still have more to enjoy.

The ambiance made the night feel even more special. There was live music with someone singing, which created a romantic, upscale atmosphere without feeling overwhelming. It felt like the perfect setting for a Valentine’s celebration.

Overall, this was more than just a good meal. it was a full experience. Great food, great portions, and a beautiful vibe. I would absolutely recommend it for a special occasion or a nice night out. (:

I was greeted by valet to park my car which was $25. As I entered the building, I was greeted with a smile as I mentioned it was there for a birthday dinner. I was escorted to my seat. Everyone was super friendly our server was great. I called ahead of time to see if they had any vegan options and of course they did. Not only did they offer a vegan option at a steakhouse but they also had mocktails. I felt like it was my birthday. We ordered appetizers and warm bread was served while we waited for our food to come out. I ordered a salad and it was a 10/10. My main entree was the cauliflower steak and when I say its the best I’ve ever had, I’m not exaggerating. It was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. There was live music. The entire place was a vibe. I can’t wait to visit again. My total including gratuity for a salad, mocktail, and cauliflower steak was $76.

Del Frisco’s is hands down one of the best steakhouses in Indianapolis, and our annual Thanksgiving visit continues to be nothing short of fantastic. The ambiance is always beautiful, and this year’s private room made the experience feel even more special.

The food? Absolutely delicious. The bacon potbelly bites and mini crab cakes are incredible—packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. Their house rolls are to die for…soft, warm, and dangerously addictive.

The steaks are consistently outstanding; you truly can’t go wrong. I highly recommend the petite filet mignon—tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection.

Sides are generous and perfect for sharing. The standout for me is the lobster mac—rich, creamy, and simply fantastic.

Del Frisco’s delivers every single year. If you’re looking for an elevated dining experience in Indy, this is the place.

We really enjoyed our reservation of ‘The Boardroom’. I made the reservation for Tues. Dec. 9th for our company’s annual Xmas dinner. We had a group of 11 people. The deposit was $700. The spending minimum was $2,000. Overall we spent just over $3,000. It was well worth it. The food was great. The service was excellent. Valet was smooth and convenient. We all felt well taken care of. I highly recommend Del Frisco’s for group fine dining.

Had a great night at Del Frisco’s in Indy. Josh was our server and he was awesome super friendly, attentive, and really knew the menu without being pushy. He made the whole experience easy and enjoyable.
I had the steak and lobster tail and both were incredible. Steak was cooked perfectly and the lobster tail was buttery and flavorful. Everything came out at the right time and we never felt rushed.
Great food, great service, and a big shoutout to Josh for making it such a solid experience. Definitely coming back.

Overall a fantastic time. We went on a Friday, 6 people, ready to smash. If I could split stars I’d hit 3.5 but they got a 3 and earned it imo
The good:

All the food was amazing. We had 2 ribeyes , 2 surf and turfs and chicken
Mashed potatoes
Mushrooms
Creamed spinach
3 different desserts

The general atmosphere was what we expected but there were some flubs / issues that I don’t expect at this caliber of a dining experience.

Had a live singer downstairs and that makes it good for me. She did great and added a lot to the evening. We had about a 3 hour dinner all in

Flubs:
2 people in our party mentioned the dress code sign at the entrance as being unwelcoming. For me I didn’t mind I enjoy a little enforced class. We came business casual all slacks , button ups etc, the women in nice evening attire.
Halfway through our meal a large table was seated next to us basically wearing hoodies and street clothes. To each their own, you gotta get the till up on a slow night but after our table convo about the sign and taking the time to at least not look like we were sitting outside at the pacers it dimmed the atmosphere a bit. Leaving I noticed another table
Similarly dressed. Not a deal killer for a return but it took it down a notch.

We had drinks, you had to ask for a beer list which is normal a lot of times…the server wasn’t sure what they had and rattled off what she could think of and one of our party ordered a beer. It came in something similar to a Pilsner glass…she made the pour and everyone in the party basically stared like we were watching someone do it for the first time. 95% foam, rose over the glass (and stood there which was wild). 10 minutes later another person orders the same beer, comes in basically a cognac glass, same poor pour but the glass saved it. For me the minor details
Make the difference between a top notch dining experience and one that’s so so. Consistency is part of that. Where do the forks go, where are the plates placed, what glass goes with what..Lots of places can crush a steak, not everyplace has a service run that backs up the price point though.

Of the 2 ribeyes one was medium well (crazy i know) and the other medium rare. Opposite sides of the table, different looking people , steaks swapped didn’t know until we cut into them.
Again it’s the details for me. If we’re spending $200/ head I don’t want you to mix up our food or be unaware of what is and isnt available for the night (whipped potatoes were “a bad batch” 5 minutes after we ordered them and had to switch out)

Overall super great time with friends. The food was what I’d expect. If we’d have just been a couple id have said something about the service. If you have a dress code sign but people are coming in in what I’d wear to the grocery store at 9pm I’m not mad but won’t be rushing back. Take the sign down and don’t make a big deal and could give af about it then
