Such a beautiful atmosphere. The service is awesome. You can go to the front or you can sit and order from your table on a QR code! Love the options. The dressing, the Mac and cheese 10/10!!!!! I love that she brought out samples of this to try. Soul food

The food was amazing. Perfectly seasoned! Large portions! Inviting atmosphere! There was about a 30min wait, but it’s a small inconvenience for fresh, cook to order food! I love that the owners offer taste test options, which helps to narrow down your side options… and they offer a ton!
I had the smothered pork chop which was so flavorful and tender. My sides were the candy yams and collard greens (chef’s kiss). My picky broke best friend (10yr old daughter) loved her catfish!!
Oh- and the cornbread muffin was top tier!

Everything was great! We pretty much ordered most of the sides and had to order extra cornbread muffins as they were just so so good! The fried chicken was seasoned so well, we are going back for more! They had many flavors of Kool-aid jugs so we ordered 3 different flavors. But this place is a must. They were extremely busy, but it’s worth the wait. You can dine in if there are seats available. Very cozy settings. Parking in the front but more parking in the back. Very friendly folks. We absolutely loved it.

Overall the food was pretty good the catfish was a little over seasoned for my personal liking it took away from the fish to me. The Mac and cheese was 10/10 the yams are good but very sweet. I tried my friend pork chop it was dry and I also got to taste the beans and potatoes really good the greens were also just okay we didn’t know we could taste before we left .. but I’d definitely give them another try very friendly, happy service as well

Our party of 3 visited South Bend on June 29th. We stopped for dinner at Deja Soul. Upon entering we were impressed with the decor and the welcoming atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious! Our party had the rotisserie chicken, ribs, pork chop, Mac n cheese, greens, yams and cornbread muffins! The meals are cooked to order and served hot and fresh! Be prepared to patiently wait because they serve by ordering position rather than prioritizing dine-in over online and take out orders which is fair. We highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning to try more delectable dishes!

Overall atmosphere is great. Service is nice and people are friendly. I was immediately greeted and order was taken. Unfortunately as a first time experience the wait time was over 45mins with little to no activity In the kitchen. Over 20 dollars for 1catfish filet and 2 sides? Fish was undercooked the sides were okay. Mainly Dissatisfied as I left a tip for the friendly service. I wish they could’ve made it a bit faster as I am running late back to work now. Thank you but I will not be back.

Very family/friendly atmosphere. Very clean and cozy. Visited this place a while ago and I enjoyed my dinner. I ordered the fish po boy and it was well seasoned and fried to perfection (really good) for my sides I had mac n’ cheese and cabbage really enjoyed it as well. I recommend this place!!!

Ordered their 3 app plate- Mac and cheese mash potatoes and baked beans. Everything was so good. A friend got the 3 app too and loved all her picks as well. The corn bread is worth every penny and a great price for how big the muffin is. The inside is beautiful and clean. I’d definitely recommend going on the days they’re open!
