Just what I needed, when I needed it, after a pretty rough day. On the way home from work, and much closer to home than work. Just a little corner bar with nice, cold beer, a jukebox, a couple of pool tables, and Game Show Network on the TV on an early weekday evening. I’ll definitely come back when I’m in better spirits.

I decided to go visit around the Sparta area in Kentucky came across this place, they had the sports on beer prices were very reasonable, they even had there own little liquor store there. I was surprised, not sure of the liquor prices there, I went for a couple of beers. The people there were nice, and it seemed like a nice place to visit…

We were on our way home from Owen County Animal Clinic and my passenger wanted a beer. Dietz’s tavern was the only one along the way and we stopped. Service is fast and friendly. I have plans on making a special trip out there some time. There isn’t a kitchen but they do sell snack items along with mixed drinks, beer and cocktails. As always if you’re driving, know your limits. I had a wine cooler, pickled eggs and bologna. My passenger had a Bud Light. Prices are reasonable compared to other places I have been who serve mixed drinks on the menu.

Many thanks to Dianne for her southern hospitality. We were six bikers from Canada on our way to Nashville and our first night out on our nine day ride was at Dietz’s Tavern. Cheers to the friendly people we met that night, lots of laughs eh! Thanks again Dianne, you’re a doll!

I’m not a smoker but it was cool to see a place where smokers can go and be inside chillin… But found the people a lil rude maybe it’s just on our visit idk… But it was really a rest break on our way to Rabbit Hash and that place is the bomb
